S1W1R1: Singapore Open & Greater Manchester ProAm (completed)

  1. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

Doing exactly what I was hoping for and the reason I chose to come to Singapore, birdies on both the long par 5's definitely trying to favor the longer courses.

  2. Escath LE Schaw

Perhaps BB Burger got too overconfident after the last hole but he missed an opportunity to reach green on regulation and missed par as a result. Meanwhile AJ Izett comfortably sinks the ball in three strokes, bringing himself to -6. He's looking very good right now.

  3. Escath LE Schaw

The 497-yard par four twelfth hole proved to be a huge challenge for all the competitors with nobody able to go under par. SJ Cambridge and S Bakkum with double bogeys after both missed the fairway.

  4. Escath LE Schaw

HJ Bots with another birdie on the thirteenth hole. That brings him to -4, two strokes behind AJ Izett.

  5. Escath LE Schaw

Par three fourteenth hole no problem for AJ Izett, who now sits three strokes ahead of HJ Bots.

  6. Escath LE Schaw

Few got any more or less than par for the fifteenth hole. Two in particular who went under par were HJ Bots and BB Burger. Burger's approach shot from 178 yards came disappointingly close to the hole.

  7. Escath LE Schaw

AJ Izett giving his competitors few opportunities to catch up with his eighth birdie on the sixteenth hole.

  8. Dan DB Wayne

    Simmage! Gun.

Loving that I'm so nondescript that I don't get a mention for anything. Quietly building a base for a career of mid-table finishes.

  9. Escath LE Schaw

No movement at the top of the leaderboard after the seventeenth hole as nobody in the in the top five deviate from the par of three.

  10. Escath LE Schaw

The eighteenth hole was easy for most of the competitors with very few failing to beat par. SJ Cambridge one of two to fail to make par and falls to last place tied with BFP Kirk at +5 after a rocky back nine.

I'm not going to go into as much detail as before all the time. It's just when I have time or feel like it.

Eh, that's not a bad effort. Have a good feeling for round 2 though.

    :toot:

  14. 99* JJ Ritchie

Pretty consistent first round. Only two bogeys for the entire round.

Hmm never mind. Think I copied something wrong.
