It was actually 15m out. He grubbered into the in-goal off the scrum-base on the first tackle with 40 seconds to go.
Right, closer than I thought. Was at that match with 2 doggies supporters, and was surrounded by others. Needless to say, I feared for my life.
So glad the refs decided that game. Wins me moolah, with the chance of more moolah should i get todays games right. Happy Days.
Pretty horrible game. Friend gets binned and Souths don't get one until the last minute of play despite being just ill-disciplined. Worked out okay after all. The new advantage rule is a disgrace and as I said on Rleague I refuse to enforce it when I referee. If you choose to pass, kick or run 5m in any direction after gaining possession, you've had your advantage. Gould was saying it was a brain explosion from Gordon - Learn the ****ing rules Gus - He only did it because he knew he'd get it back it if didn't come off. 10m forward for an advantage to have taken place is so illogical and ridiculous I can't even begin to describe it. Souths' line speed and work on the ground was woeful. Their kicking was comical at times. Sandow is really struggling. Mat Rogers produced one of the worst defensive efforts I have ever seen from a centre. Cost them 3 (should've been 4) tries. I don't think Bird played anywhere near as badly as some have made out. Yeah he's not a 6, we know that. But he still provided innumerable second phase play with great offloads. Bird should be in the pack and Rogers should be in the halves IMO. Tomane had a great game in attack - 158m from 10 runs. Absolutely shredded Souths' left.
Haha. We had a level 2 referee here who used to brag about it constantly like it made him an expert on everything. In-joke.
Surprised you didn't mention Rogers's despicably bad game in defence. Not only is bad defence something you generally do point out, but you never let an opportunity to rip into Rogers for being a hypocrite go by. All three Souths tries were a direct result of him either being completely out of position or just not being able to tackle.
