    - I think Goodes threatening to quit because of booing is soft.
    - Booing him doesnt make it racist
    - Sick and tired of privileged White Australians from the think tank of tumblr telling me I don't know what it is to be oppressed lol.
    - Lots of the booing is undoubtedly racist. The him not being a smiling puppet argument is a pretty good one.
    - Maybe he's a protected species or dirty or what not but no one gets as much heat as he does for it.
    - Him winning Australian of the year is not his fault...
    - It's getting to the point where even if there is a right to boo him and even if it is soft for him to take it like he does, people should stop/town it down just from a decency point of view because of what hes done for the game imo.

    Pretty much my thoughts.

    Yeah I can agree with most of that. One of the best comments about it came from an Indigenous bloke up in NT at some festival. He said "even if it's not racist, its still bullying" - and that's something I can agree with. Undoubtedly people have jumped on this unnecessarily, but if you play professional sports you have to expect bullying and if you've been in the system for 15 years you've got to be able to cope with it, and fans who pay to go to the footy deserve to be able to boo however they want. I see both sides of the story, but at the heart of it is a bloke who's being a big sook.
