Vuna only had cramps I think. Simpson was awesome as was Mullen's long kicking game... Doubt they will be keeping that intensity up for the whole season though, they looked buggered after 60 minutes.
Mullen's kicking was the biggest plus for me. It was so poor last season. Great win with an obviously understrength side. Still worried about our wingers rushing in though.
Well hopefully that's as bad as we play for the rest of the season. I guess the only positive is that we played so poorly but were almost able to pull of the win. The Knights did play pretty well though, especially in the first half.
Firstly, I want to say that I was very impressed with Newcastle. I honestly gave them no hope but they came out firing and really took control of the game. The Dogs really got beat down in every aspect of the game. Especially in the first half with something like 65% of possession going to the Knights. They did really well to hold on as well even when the Dogs scored they managed to hit back. I personally don't think they can keep it up but they definitely impressed me tonight with their commitment for the 80 minutes. I also though Patterson was easily the best on ground. Got our MOTM. Oh and ftr, the last time the Dogs scored 4 tries in a game without a conversion was something like 1946. ****ing shit **** Ennis. Can anyone remember if they ended up mentioning it on air? We tried to call up the guy at the stadium to let them know but I think it may have been too late.
Yeah, I'd agree. Seemed to be the only one out there creating second phase play, and was actually back to his old form of putting hits on in tackles.
