Round 1 - Central Coast Bears (Cricsim Cunts) vs Wests Tigers

4th Minute.

Bears defending well after the kick off from Mate Perry. Brett Gemmell is defending like a machine. His mix of aggression and tackling skills has seen him make 3 crucial tackles this set. 4th tackle and the Tigers spin it wide. The ball goes to Ryan who burns along the touchline. James Hughes comes across in defence and is bumped off! but wait! Here comes Brett Gemmell again who makes a miraculous do or die tackle again. Gemmell keeping the Bears in the contest here.

 

5th Minute

Moltzen chips on the 4th and the ball is cleaned up by Mate Perry. Poor option there, Tigers had the Bears on the ropes and this has eased the pressure. Bears with the ball. A safe set is what is needed now.

 

Good set bears.

 

5th Minute.

The Bears play to a smart plan, with Strong hitups from Benny Read and then Simon Laing. Ben Jacobs then makes a sensible dummy half run and the Bears are out to their own 40. The ball is played to Mate Perry who then passes back to Kelvin Fung who is standing deep around the 30m line. Fung lets fly with a HUGGEE clearance and the ball stops over the opposition 20m line. Ryan bring the ball back and the Tigers are met at the 3om line. Good set Bears.

 

5th Minute

The ball is spun from Farah to a charging Todd Payten. Benny Read and Aaron O'Neill combine with a massive tackle! The ball comes loose and the Bears have a scrum on the opposition 40!!!

 

6th Minute.

Mate Perry takes the ball from the scrum, and there is space to his left but he decides to run himself and is brought down. Ben Jacobs distributes the ball to the right and Brett Gemmell makes a solid charge and then offloads to Mate Perry who is through the line! He then inexplicably grubbers towards Gallant who then clears up the ball.

6th Min.

Bears defend solidly through the middle third. The ball is spread wide before Heighington offloads to Tuiaki who busts through 3 tackles. He is finally brought down by Rusty Downpipes on the halfway line. Tuiaki limps off with an injury, on comes halatau. 4th tackle now. Gibbs takes a hitup and is held before Payten kicks deep and the ball is gathered by Brett Gemmell and brought back to the 20m line.
