The Pumas have qualified for the playoffs and are guaranteed to either win the minor premiership or host the semifinal. The Crusaders and Ravens can no longer win the minor premiership. The Vipers must take at least 26 of their remaining 30 points to have a chance of winning the minor premiership.
Don't think it'd be a choke to lose an away game to the Vipers unless we got absolutely hammered. Losing to the Rays would be a choke but it looks like we could beat them and still miss out if we don't take away any points from the Vipers game.
Congratulations to the Pumas for securing their place in the final and the Vipers for claiming the home semifinal. The last semifinal spot will likely go to the Crusaders who have the bye but are 10 points and have a decent lead over the Ravens in quotient. The Ravens would need to get a huge victory in their away game against the Stingrays.
Just to give you an idea of how much of a win it would need to be for the Ravens, they could score 600 runs in the first innings, get the Stingrays out for 400 total over two innings and still miss out.
ALC Punters 104 points - have made the finals. Will take the minor premiership with any points in the last round v Kittens. Will probably take it even if they don't, due to quotient. Can't finish 3rd. Fangs 94 points - have made the finals. Can take first if they get 10 points against the Teagles while the Punters get thrashed. 2nd at worst Knights 88 points - have the bye so just have to hope the Kittens don't get 10 to claim 3rd spot. Kittens 78 points - need to get full points against the Punters. Will have a better quotient than the Knights so will qualify in 3rd if they do. HORRIGAN CUP Pumas 110 points - almost certainly have the minor premiership, a win would seal it but they have a good enough quotient that not getting smashed will do. 2nd is worst case scenario. Ravens 100 points - Have qualified for finals but will lose 2nd place to the Rays if they get beaten by them. Can go for first if they smash the Stingrays and the Pumas get beaten by the Gamblers. Stingrays 90 points - will steal 2nd if they beat the Ravens. Losing could mean they miss out on finals if the Gamblers beat the Pumas. Gamblers 80 points - Need to beat the Pumas and hope the Rays lose as well. Have the best quotient so don't need to worry about that. Everyone else is out of both comps.
PC New Zealand 56 pts - Guaranteed final place, even with their bye in the final round. Victoria 30pts - Play Britain NSW City 28pts - A win secures their position, play Queensland. Draw enough if results go their way. Queensland 26pts - Play City Asia 24 pts - Play pointless Country, probably need Victoria to lose to make it in. RT Finals decided, Vics & Celts on 50, England on 40. England will finish 3rd on quotient even if they win. PCDIY Britain 56pts - Qualified, straight into the finals New Zealand 40pts - First innings points against the Celts will secure a finals berth. Victoria 38pts - Playing top of the table Britain, have an equal quotient with the Celts Celts 32 pts - Only a 10 pts win will give them a spot for sure, could rely on the other game to go through with the Kiwis.
