Because Bennett still doesn't understand the importance of the modern dummy-half. He still thinks hooker is a traditional role simply there to service the forwards. Fully fit, Bird should be in the halves with Milford, McCullough and Nikorima alternating at acting half. For some reason people think McCullough is an 80 minute hooker but he never has been.
