    Ranfurly Shield will be up for grabs due to the Spartans disbanding. Thinking that some kind of preseason tournament should decide who holds the Shield at the start.

    Whoops. Whoever wins the first round match by the biggest margin takes the Shield from the Spartans.

    Biggest first round victory went to the Immortals (29-10 over the Hurricanes), though the Gambl0rs were close (29-17 win over the Vikings)

    Hence, the Immortals start S6 with the shield. Which means the Sharks have a chance to take the Shield in Round 2.
