Anyone else getting ad popups on cricsim.com? At 1st I assumed I had some adware shit so I ran some checks and didn't find diddly-squat. Then I was getting them on multiple platforms: My 2 Lappys, work PC, S6 and Galaxytab. So I install Firefox to see if it was some deep Chrome extension issue, nope, more pop-ups. I thought I had some uber virus, however I checked on my wife's iPhone where she uses Safari, and I still got pop-ups. Therefore I have a strong suspicion that there is a pop-up issue with cricsim.
what types of ads? i've been getting ones that open up in a new tab of chrome, i am/was worried that it was a virus or something so i ran a scan that didn't find anything, if it's a cricsim thing that would be a relief
i had one for ages but stopped once youtube started giving the really long ads that cant be skipped removed it
Yeah we got hacked. The ads don't seem to be malicious at all -- it's just people trying to cash in on the clicks -- but anti-virus may be vigilant and pick them up anyway. If you use adblock you won't get them at all, but if you're not using adblock it's probably best to just avoid the site until later today when I get it fixed.
Yeah, I didn't have an adblocker so I thought I had some ubermalware shit. After getting one I had no problems.
Opening everything in new tabs seems to cut down on it. Only happens if you click to start typing a post or something.
On the bottom of the page, there's an option to change the site to mobile skin. You shouldn't get pop-ups on the mobile skin.
