Everything I've seen says no one has offered more than three, no doubt the broncs have a five year player option tagged on the end...

Yeh Moylan is definitely the odd man out although Sharks could well end up with just Moylan once all the dominoes fall and that would be a disaster.

Shaun Johnson is a must keep, he was playing some very good footy at the back end of last year before his injury.

Dobbo (lol) reported Broncos extremely likely to sign both SJ and Reynolds.

    Reeks of Tigers.

It would probably go alright, but I don't think it's the best route to take.

Reynolds has his limits, Johnson has always had consistency issues and is coming back from a major injury.

Ideal play for mine would be to keep Gamble, and throw a heap of cash at Maloney, enough toget him to backflip and sign for a couple of seasons.

There's also DCE and Sezer who I rather we look at too.

Maloney isn't worth what it would cost to get him. DCE isn't a realistic option, and Sezer should have been signed when he left the Raiders.

If I had a choice between Johnson and Reynolds; I'd take Johnson. He'd adds more of what we don't have, and would be cheaper at this stage.

I don't know I reckon if we are having a go at nicho hynes then we would be better served with Reynolds

  9. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Hynes is solid, I don't really rate him high enough to shoulder the creative load he would carry with Reynolds as his halfback.

Hard to really say when you are in a side with Munster as you don't get the same opportunities as he just does everything

Reynolds on his way to Brisbane for 750 a year for 3 years.

He's not the best half out there, but it's a decent signing, mostly because it will improve the side in an area we have really struggled recently. It also may encourage other players to join the club. There's also the fact that upon Reynolds' arrival, Isaako's value to the club will drop.

I guess now I hope we make a play for Johnson now to carry the creative load.

I think Reynolds has been severely overrated in all this movement talk and I think people often mistake the control in his kicking game as ability to control a game. But 750k is surprisingly not too bad, given the current lack of depth in the 7 at NRL level I think they're pretty much paying market value. It's all a little bit wasted though if like others have said you don't put players around him who are going to create points for you.

Gerard Beale back in the NRL at the Dragons, Hook really doing his bets to get the band back together.

He'll ripen much better there than here, that's for sure.

Boyd Cordner due to announce his retirement tomorrow morning at 9am.

The most mentally determined player I have ever seen. In the Rugby League dictionary next to "would run through a brick wall to get the 2 points" will sit a picture of this man, beautiful chin and all.

Goes out as NSW & Australian captain. 3 time premiership winner. Feels way too early at 28 but he's achieved a bucket load, plenty who would've killed for his career.

Friendy, Borris and now Cordner all in the opening 13 rounds. Fuck 2021.

    Cordner retired!

The whole thing around his concussions has been so odd

Great player. He was the blueprint for the modern back rower. He could do it all, and on top of that was a inspirational leader.

On the bright side, Chooks should have some cash to shore up some contracts and make some plays in the market.

At full strength the only real position we need to strengthen in the top 17 would be right wing and there just doesn't seem to be much talent out there. And I fully expect Robinson will just take a punt on a player like he has in the past such as Fergo, Hall and Borris.

    Fullbacks - Teddy / Manu
    Wingers - Tupou, Ikuvalu, Abbey
Centres - Jorris, Manu, Suaali, Smith
Halves - Keary, Walker, Lam, Hutchinson
Props - Hargreaves, Taukeiaho, Collins, Liu, Baker, Fifita
2nd rowers - Crichton, Tupouniua, Whyte
    Locks - Radley, Butcher
    Hookers/Utility - Verrills, Lussick, Keighran & Marschke

Wing definitely the weakest spot. Could do with another promising 2nd rower/lock but as a squad player.

I don't know where/if they actually go out and spend the money tbh.
