Yeh, while we play guys like Anasta in the 2nd row too.

  2. Wilson SB Wilson

    Jeff Robson

    Best Position: Hooker

Credit where it's due he's been quite solid for the Sharks at halfback this year, but it doesn't excuse the previous performances of his career and the probably future performances as well.

However he could be a really class hooker in the Matt Ballin mold. He's fantastic defensively, especially one on one, he's got great service and great maturity around the ruck.

I reckon plenty will disagree here but to me he's a gun middle third player and much better in the centre than an edge. His ballplaying abilities aren't all that strong despite a history in the halves, his best asset is his running game and his agility through the middle thrid causes issues for big centre third forwards, he gets half tackles put on him in that area and is able to create 2nd phase play against disjointed defensive lines.

The fact that Cronulla have Gallen, Heighnington already as high minute middle third forwards sees him playing edges and he's not as effective IMO

    lol. So fucking wrong.

I did lead into it by saying that people would disagree:p

    Shaun Johnson:
Would be an awesome fullback IMO. Insane speed, great support player and would have less pressure to be the main force in trying to organise his team. It would likely prolong his career a but due to not being in the defensive line, he has had quite a fair few injuries to shoulders etc.

He's not a 5/8th. He's too stupid. Keep him in the centres!

    Jack Reed:
Get your ass on the right side of the field FFS. His right hand offloading is unreal and his right to left short kicking kicking game is a weapon we haven't been able to use. Would even be better off playing as a second rower on Hodges side.

    David Mead.

cunt played a game last season at fullback and was dynamite. Reads the play well, makes good decisions

  10. Farhat AM Farhat

Vai Toutai, Matt Keating, Ben Roberts.

Best positions: Somewhere that's not on the football field.

  11. Julian BJ Taylor

where's mf when you need him?

  12. Jazz NC Smith

I think Croker might also just be out of position at left centre. He'd do better on the wing but I think his game would also improved if he switched to the right flank. He just doesn't look comfortable on the left and he rarely seems to work back on the inside shoulder of his opponent.

Add in Ben Smith and you're right on a winner there.

Don't know what William Zillman is but he definitely isn't an NRL fullback. That may just be because he is shit but I sometimes wonder whether he would have done better if he had played in the halves rather than wing and fullback.

  15. Julian BJ Taylor

he was always a half in the canberra set up until schifcofske left and he was handed the fullback role in first grade.

  16. Julian BJ Taylor

agreed. he's not getting a gig a right centre any time soon though.

    Kurt Gidley:
You say he is a Fullback Cribb, however I think his best position is at hooker. Especially in a team that has Boyd. Gidley has played a Tri Nations final at right centre before and was great, so perhaps that's an option too. Just keep the cunt away from the halves.

Zillman would be a good fullback IMO but his knee recos took away a good amount of his accelartion IMO. I could just have been fooled by some poor opposition etc. but when I first saw him in the top grade I thought he was destined for rep footy eventually.

  19. Benny BS Read

Brian Smith is the only coach to use Gidley in his optimum role IMO. Fullback in defence, hooker in attack. Uses all his best qualities as a player.

Get back to the fringes you stupid fat cunt. When he is in the middle he is the laziest prick around and has no idea how to assist tackles. He'll go low on a block who already has someone on their waist, then bump them off creating 2 tackle breaks. It's no mystery as to why pretty much his 3 best games last season were in Origin.
