Okay. Wasn't sure what the deal with Baxter was.

Good point. Totally forgot about that and I suspect he did too because he hasn't put him in the draft.

Marcuss has yet confirmed he's in the draft, so Eds, you've got two picks

Two excellent picks from Eds

Totally didn't realise we were picking managers. Would've had Guardiola for sure.

6. Cabinet96 OTN Wood

First Lahm's taken from you and then Pep!

7. Eds E Ames

I think I can settle for Muller & Busquets. ;)

It's a funny thing....everyone has a manager in mind, but people tend to go for a striker, big name player in the first picks and leave the manager until last.

Id love to be in but I leave for Aus on Monday, will have 2 days travelling and then have no idea how often I'll get online once down under

Best Picks:
1a) 1.13 - Gareth Bale: Apart from the worst picks list and one or two others, for the most part the value was pretty spot on. I didn't want to pick my own pick here but Bale's a top 10 player and at his best in the conversation of 3rd best in the world for sure. Genuine game changing talent as well. Given the anglo-centric nature of this draft it's really a wonder he didn't go earlier.

1b) 1.15 - Angel Di Maria: Last year wasn't his year obviously but go back one season further and he was definitely a top 10 player in the world, playing a key role in Madrid's UCL win and Argentina's world cup run. Understandable which he fell and as I said, the value for the most part has been good but a healthy, firing Di Maria goes earlier for sure.

Worst Picks:
1) 1.10 - Gerard Pique: I don't understand this at all. Firstly, he's not the best defender in the world. Secondly, there's no logic in taking a non-midfielder/attacker this early. You need a game breaker and judging by how the majority of the other picks went, there wasn't going to be a rush to grab defenders. It's not even like you were at the end of the round and could just grab a good attacker at the flip, you're in no-mans land and are gonna miss out on some top talent.

2) 1.3 - Manuel Neuer: Tough spot given you just miss out on Messi and Ronaldo but again, no logic in taking a defensive player for the above reasons. A great goalkeeper is important no doubt and Neuer is the best but the difference between him and the second best goalkeeper, who'll probably be available in a few rounds time is a lot smaller than the difference between Suarez/Neymar whoever and whoever you'll be grabbing later on.

3a) 1.11 - Philipp Lahm: Obviously a fantastic player and extremely versatile but again I question the logic of going defensive player first again. Not as bad as Pique because you can plug him in a few places so you can just pick the best player you want later on without worrying about a few positions.

3b) 1.12 - Zlatan Ibrahimovic: On the right track going with an attacking minded player but from what I've seen and heard of him he's living on reputation and has regressed. Obviously can produce some magical things and is still a good player, but not first round worthy at this point imo.

11. Frizzed WC Welker

Think Muller at the end probably deserved a mention.

12. Rocks DN Boland

Agree that Bale was one of the best picks. Was going to take him but decided there are a lot more quality attackers than defenders.

13. Verigoat S Verigotta

Disagree with Di Maria, Neuer and Lahm and half disagree with Pique

Just because you don't think defenders should go early doesn't mean they're bad picks. There are less top tier goalkeepers and defenders in the world than their are midfielders and strikers, completely legitimate reason to pick a Neuer or a Lahm

Angel went exactly where he should be, bottom end first road, nothing special

14. Eds E Ames

Zlatan the only genuinely bad pick in that round IMO. Probably wouldn't have picked Neuer @ 3 either but I can see why he did, given he's the clear best keeper in the world.

I'd have Robben @ 9 as my top pick I reckon.

15. Farhat AM Farhat

Agree with Eds. I would have taken Neuer at 4 if Rocks chose Suarez.

16. Teacups CJ Evans

Best pick if I had to pick one is Muller

Worst pick is Pique for me

17. Baxter MJ Deane

Bale definitely the steal of the round imo

18. BigDougy DG Dafter

Just made my pick now. Been at work all day hence the delay.

19. Eggman DA Eggman

Hamis Rodríguez

20. Notsure SM Green

Yeah. I reckon Pep was actually the third best option after Messi and Ronaldo. There are some other managers you could chuck up there as well.
