    Better at different things, I reckon. Blunder was a great all-rounder and was convincing as 3rd party, mafia or town. Teacups was a great town player.

    Up to 20 players in the game already. I'll chase up a few other people and maybe give it another week. If there are any CW-ers people would like to play, then that's fine too. The more, the merrier.

    Any more for any more? Aiming to start before the end of June. Let's put a hard deadline of Friday 26th June on it. There's definitely still a few guys who've played a lot of mafia in the past who haven't signed up. I don't want to hassle them when they've already been tagged, but if you want to participate then get stuck in!

    Just read some of that actually. Some of the false logic from the town was abysmal. CricSimmers would have been slammed for some of the bullshit in that thread, but everyone's clapping each other on the back. Not sure I get it, really.

    EDIT: Far too much meta-gaming and not enough logic. So many posts talking about how the game runner will set up roles and balance the game. Play what's in front of you FFS.

    EDIT2: Nice theme though. I like the idea, and nice & fresh too; not ripped from existing stories... hmmm

    As I recall, one of those newbies had been talking about how shit your generic CricSim mafia player was. Skippos wouldn't have got played like that. At least, not by anyone other than himself.

    Skippos wasn’t that bad IMO just a regular player. There were definitely a good 5 or 6 blokes that played off and on over the years that were absolutely awful. But it’s well offset by the near three dozen blokes who were either alright, good or great.

    The one time I was mod I assigned roles by RNG to stop this kind of stuff, I thought that would be standard. Maybe would have swapped a role if it came up extremely unbalanced but in practice it wasn't necessary.
