Naturally. I do place at least a decent amount of faith in IGN etc. to deliver decent reviews of games though - they're pretty comprehensive for the most part

Generally, for games where user scores are much lower, post-release critics also score much lower (Take DA:2 for example, post-release only scores was around 70). This suggests there is something going on with at least the pre-release critics.
Anyone who's interested in GTA V should definitely pick up the special issue of Gameinformer - very interesting read, whets the appetite.
