General BasketballSim Announcements

• Teams have less than one week to schedule and play their three preseason games or I'll just cancel them and move onto the real stuff. I'm looking to have the first games on Sunday the 21st.

• Contracts are fully open, there are no 8 man restrictions, so sign all the guys up - depth is good as it'll cover you for injury without having to track someone down to sign a contract and fill a spot. You don't want to have to play A Filler or B Bot in your team, they'll be supernerfed. You don't have to play them as there will be some form of reserves for them to showcase their talents, but just let them know their signing on for a reserves roll to fill in for injuries.

• Players left unsigned or not getting minutes on someone's bench will play a reserve grade kind of thing, but there won't be any official teams or stat keeping, so they'll be more like pickup games than anything. These are to get players signed and/or show your talents to get regular minutes in the top grade.

• Simming will be infrequent for the next 4 weeks. I am on placement for uni Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30 and I'm working Friday night, Saturday and Sunday - so I'll be busy and tired and unlikely to want to sim too often

• Reserves pick up games will start this round, I'll just put up a match thread where players can request a game. If you do sign up and you're playing in first grade I'll just pull you out of first grade tbh and not tell anyone until the result is up. Teams, feel free to not play players so they can play in these games - it'll be better for them and for you. Let them know however, don't just not name them as they'll need to sign up for the game(s).

 

Hey guys, just a couple of messages for people who are very involved in the sim and would love to get into it even more:

• If you are interested in running a new team for next season send me a PM. We have lots of players without a team or not playing much so expanding to 8 teams would be great to a) ensure everyone gets some minutes and, b) allow for 4 playoff spots.

• If you are interested in selecting either the North or South team please let me know. Eggman and stupersteve03, you two have first dibs on it as you were in the old sim but I know you're both a lot more busy these days and may be unable to do so!

Also, the All-Star Game is after Round 12, so just over a round - get excited! Thanks guys!
