I think the GC17 will be very hit or miss imo, much depends on recruiting and also their performances over the first two or so years, the setup they have now with The Titans is exceptional IMHO, linking up there sponsorship has worked a treat, they have Scott Prince on the radio every Monday and Friday and also weekly contributions from certain players and coaches. If GC17 can align themselves with a certain radio station and pretty much do the same with a key marquee player, hopefully of the likes of Reiwoldt or Ablett and get the message out there it could very well succeed. N.Ablett very much could return but I havent really asked him that question yet, but you can tell he still has passion for the game.
http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,,25338915-10389,00.html Yeah, it is there.. not good to here from a collingwood supporters point of view. I don't think we will lose him. Yes the going home factor is a big thing, but why would he leave playing in front of 45,000 - 60,000 every week to go play in front of 15. And why would he leave a fully established club, possibly the biggest sporting club in australia(fan base, etc.) to go play for a club who has just started, and be playing in front of 15,000 people. Just my opinion and the way i look at things.
Yeah, but this isn't Somalia it is the home of footy i guess. But true point, going home is a big factor.
Yeah, doing a pretty good job at it as well. Good to see him doing well. I don't understand how people 'Boo' their ex players when they used to play for your club.
That's just the way it is, we boo Ottens seeing as he left on his own terms. We wouldn't boo Rodan because we delisted him. Thus why Nathan Brown is booed by the Bulldogs.
