How? Our team is the worst it's been since our dynasty began. We're more vulnerable than ever and a desperate NSW's outfit is going to make our game 1 Side (or at least the players I mentioned) look silly.

Queensland fucked up with a few team selections in Game 1 of 2008 imo.
Hunt in the halves, Carl Webb at prop. Not complacency more just bad team selections in certain positions.

    Are you for real?

I honestly can't think of a time when we've been stronger. Our entire forward pack is far better now than it was in the past. Thurston is tareing shit up like never before. Lockyer's playing the best footy I've seen him play since about 07. Boyd is continually growing as a player and Slater is still as strong as ever. You are simply zoning in on Nielsen v. Inglis, and as far as I'm concerned, our gains in other areas far outweighs that.

Nah. It's ridiculous how people are so into their meaningless club that they'd put that before a contest which truly matters.

    2009 Game 1 tbh.

    origin means absolutely squat.

To those of you who have done nothing but lose for the last half a decade.

What does your NRL team succeeding mean? From where I'm sitting you may as well be going for Doust and co. You are, in effect, going for a set of board members. They make the decisions to get the club money. That gives them a budget to spend on coaching staff. The quality of that staff affects the club's results.

What does your state succeeding mean? It means that your state is better.

I'd rather us lose for the next five decades if it meant Saints won another comp in the next five years.. Although as a scumulla fan you need to hold onto some form of success I suppose.

How's this any different to the Origin set up where the boards are known as QRL & NSWRL? Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they also set a budget, decide where the money goes and pick the coaching staff?

Shit does that mean I know go for Colin Love?

    It's no different at all.

Ged's 'question' can just be answered with 'it means your club is better'.

All his rants are pretty much a result of Qld having been taken over by NSWRL 30 years ago when it comes to club footy.

My old man went for South Sydney. They're an actua club. His old man probably went for Souths Brisbane and they're either extinct or playing non professional football.

I struggle at times being a Sharks supporter but at least there's Origin mid year to pick my spirits up. Dunno how Wilson and Fan09 do it supporting both Cronulla & NSW.

Unlike your shit club NSW have actually won a title before.

Sure, the boards have something to do with it but it mostly comes down to the personelle, something that the board can't control.

And will win one some time again in our lifetime. They will also never cease to exist.

Honest question, can you actually remember Canberra's last premiership triumph in 94?

  18. Ged GEC King

A bit like how the St.George Dragons will never cease to exist. Oh wait.

  19. Magic AJ Parker

As some of the most powerful boards in the NRL have found out.

  20. RyanG R Gee

Of course they have. They only verse the 1 other team. Over the 30 or so years it's been going you'd have expected them to win a few.
