Khurram should be playing in the tournament suggested in the OP regardless of what his eligibility turns out to be.
Urgh. If I can't have Khurram Khan, surely there's someone better than Eoin Morgan. Only reasonable option I can think of it Nicolaas Scholtz. Rahmat Shah and Swapnil Patil represent. Ireland do pretty much have a whole batting of reasonable players too - Wilson, White, Stirling etc.
With Watson there and North essentially playing as a spinner, just get Punter in for Hilf IMO. Should probably just open with Watson or North in fact and get a better batsman than Cowan to bat middle order.
Nah, not making Zimbabwe's side as a seamer in this is no way an indication of being a bad #12-18 pick. Their seamers are good; in fact there were probably another couple that should've been picked but weren't.
This side needs a bit of a shakeup now. The Marsh brothers and maybe Joe Burns would come into contention I guess.

Getting one game was odd, but getting a 2nd straight after a match where he took none for 150 was bizarre. Has he been tearing up in grade cricket? I just can't fathom how there isn't a local kid who's about as good but who's eligible for Australia (and might have a bit more upside) that Somerville. Still, it is good for Wellington to give one of our former Grade cricketers to NSW after years of taking Grade cricketers from there (back in Wellington grade cricket, he was an opening bat btw)
NSW had 14 players out on CA duty, and Jason Krejza decided to retire when they asked him to play. Our spin stocks beyond the first couple are pretty dire, and yeah he's done pretty well in grade cricket. He bowled a complete jaffa to get rid of Botha..
