Haha, re-post what you edited, I didn't see it.

I just edited your edit of squad members out of my post. The spooky bit is that it straight up picks that XI at the moment. Zimbabwe have played some A games and stuff that aren't in the database yet and it makes some changes to your batting order, but that's the eleven the auto-picker picks right now.

Haha. Personally haven't seen Querl and I'd probably have one of the other seamers ahead of him beased on a bit of international exposure/longevity. But his stats are obviously orsm.

I wouldn't know what order to pick, Williams isn't a #3 but I wouldn't want to bat Taylor there personally.

What about the Associates XI? How many were picked in the end? Mostly Irish, I guess plus Tendo plus Snyman?

Ballance often opened in Zimbabwean domestic cricket so it just makes him open, moves Goodwin to 3 and Williams to 5.

Querl would've either played for Zimbabwe or picked up a county deal (probably the latter tbh) if he wasn't a filthy chucker. If you look past the fact that he shouldn't be allowed to bowl he's really quite good though.

You can add Vermeulen and Ewing to your list of possible openers in the squad players thing. Ewing would be close to making the eleven if he bothered playing a First Class game this season, but it's unlikely unless they decide to pay him.

    NSW

    1. Phil Hughes
    2. David Warner
    3. Steve Smith
    4. Michael Clarke
    5. Tom Cooper
    6. Brad Haddin
    7. Moises Henriques
    8. Ryan Harris
    9. Nathan Lyon
    10. Jackson Bird
    11. Doug Bollinger

    * presuming Harris is elligible and Khawaja represents CPL Pakistan

    12. Mitchell Starc

  7. Julian BJ Taylor

Not all of the Zimbabweans I listed were picked. I just presumed they'd be in the database.

The cut off age is 13, which means Khawaja is NSW and I don't really know about Harris. I've heard he moved to South Australia "as a teenager" which makes NSW likely for him I guess.

The best three NSW keepers are all actually from the ACT though.

Well Khawaja to 3 and Cooper as a reserve. NSW will be very strong.
    Rest of Australia:

    1. Chris Rogers
    2. Ed Cowan
    3. Simon Katich
    4. Shane Watson
    5. Mike Hussey
    6. Marcus North
    7. Peter Nevill
    8. Mitchell Johnson
    9. James Pattinson
    10. Peter Siddle
    11. ?? Ben Hilfenhaus?

10/11 are white despite their best attempts to destroy the white man/promote blacks. Ouch.

    Aha.

Guess I'd throw together something like:

    1. Porterfield
    2. Joyce
    3. C Williams
    4. Khurram Khan
    5. N O'Brien
    6. Snyman
    7. Mohammad Nabi
    8. C Viljoen/K O'Brien
    9. Johnston
    10. Murtagh
    11. Rankin

  12. Cribbage RG Cribb

That's arguably just because the likes of Goodwin, Ballance and Querl had the anestry to develop their cricket overseas though. Shingi Masakadza would be quite a good Test bowler if he had an EU passport IMO.

  13. morgieb MC Burridge

Pretty sure Johnston and Murtagh don't count.

  14. Julian BJ Taylor

    Would blokes like RTD count?

  15. morgieb MC Burridge

    Pretty sure they wouldn't.

  16. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Hrmmm. And I guess Tony Palladino would count as English too.

Would probably mean falling back on Afghan bowlers. Hamid Hassan and Dawlat Ahmadzai probably.

No Burgers? Sad times for the connoisseur of meaty cricket.

Basically I'm willing to go with whatever the players have chosen right now as long as they lived in the country they're eligible for before they turned 13. If they moved after that or only qualify through ancestry, they can get fucked. So RTD, Johnston and Murtagh don't count, I'm not sure about Khurram Khan either. Geraint Jones counts though, strangely enough.

I'd take Jan-Berrie in a heartbeat. Possibly room for Sarel though, more realistically?

    1. Porterfield
    2. Joyce
    3. C Williams
    4. Khurram Khan
    5. N O'Brien
    6. Snyman
    7. Mohammad Nabi
    8. C Viljoen/K O'Brien
    9. S Burger
    10. Hamid Hassan
    11. Rankin

  20. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Geraint Jones may count, but he ain't good enough any more.
