You have to turn tricks to make the team.

Furball made an impassioned plea for Skippos to be picked.

Quite a number of changes from last season I imagine

It's a strong squad. I'm ready for action but I doubt I'm getting much time if North South is anything to go by.

I expect we'll have a possibles vs. probables match and any outstanding performances in that game are likely to earn a player a starting berth.

    1 man pack though

I am not fussed as my focuses at the moment are reading through a 150 page ebook on B2B marketing and then losing 5kgs.

But my reflections on the matter are that regardless of Skippos being picked if the North South games (where I was man of the match in one game) had any bearing at all on the test match selection then I should have been one of the first names on the team sheet regardless of position. That said it makes it hard for me to be picked for a test side when I am only a bench player in club rugby and I think that fact was not lost on the selector.

    Enjoy the bench, Baxter.

We've got enough top-tier players for their positions that 6 Sharks shouldn't be surprising, hell I must've missed this quite narrowly with Gemmell being marginally better at NvS.

    Clearly better*
