Epic news. Should help the club massively IMO.

    Fucking sack him right now.

So stupid to do this deal now and announce it.

Lol @ how he announces that he isn't going to the Bulldogs next season and is honouring the extension he signed, and then just goes there the year after. :p

Will be surprised if he doesn't move there earlier imo.

Wouldn't now be the perfect time to do it so it's not really talked about next season?

Boy what a shot in the arm for the confidence of Jim Dymock.

Dymock still has a chance to prove himself in 2012, assuming Des doesn't come sooner. How Jim Dymock ever held a head coach position is beyond me and he can thank his lucky stars to have had half a season and maybe a full one.

As a Dogs fan, I am interested to see if Des' magic can work away from the beaches. I have some doubts but am glad to have him coming to our team.

Yep, so stupid. 2012 is pretty much a write off now.

  9. Toolman TR Man

He might have more motivation now to prove himself?

  10. Rocks DN Boland

This. If he wants a Job he needs te Dogs to perform.

Nah, the big twist will come when it's revealed he's been signed on as a player, with Hodkinson being released to Souffs. Dymock to continue as coach.

As if the incentive wasn't already there. This is just added pressure. Short of winning the comp Dymock will be replaced.

Best signing the dogs have made, watch Ennis become God pro.

So stupid, just puts unnecessary pressure and attention on both clubs.

I don't see Greenburg & Hasler being a success either, one wants everything now the other will want to build the club from the ground up. Their styles of management are massively contrasted and too far apart to compliment each other imo.

If anything it takes the pressure off the Dogs for next year I reckon. Nobody expects anything of them now.

For what, another coaching deal somewhere else?

If it wasn't possible to pick Hasler up for 2012 then we should have just turfed the idea and gone with Dymock, the Bulldogs are effectively rebuilding and you can't do that well if you plan on using two different coaches in two years. This just sets the club back another year.

    Top signing for the dogs.

No doubt Manly will do the same as when the Bulldogs took Hodkinson. We went and found a better halfback. We'll just go out and find a better coach.

Yeah no doubt about that. I mean I'm sure it won't be anything like the pre-Hasler days...lol.

Yeah I don't imagine Peter Sharp will be getting a recall. They may just go with Toovey, I hear he's pretty keen.
