Hey guys As the title suggests, I would like to do a draft / poll to try and establish a current Rugby Union World XV with your help. My initial idea is as follows: - To accept two nominations per position, 1 to 15, from each of you and then narrow it down to the 5 players with the most votes per position. - To then create a poll; 1 poll per position - thus 15 separate polls; listing the 5 most popular players per position. - From the poll results I will compile the World XV based on your votes. I will allow 48 hours for nominations as I request the positions to be nominated - hopefully one position per day being opened for nominations, where after the poll will be created once the time for nominations are up and voting will be open for another 48 hours per poll. This is just a rough format of I thought I would like to operate the process, but any suggestions on a better process is welcome. Heef to give his input.

OK so we do just nominate two players for each position? Are they allowed to be injured? Can they be playing in france instead of in their domestic comp? What are the rules.

Lol. ANY player, playing anywhere, as long as he is still playing rugby union, injured players and those on sabbatical also allowed. Two players per position, 1 through 15. nominate them in the order you think they come i.e. the best on first and the back up second. And don't jump the gun like above, still waiting for possible input on format. Will give it until tomorrow morning before we open the nominations. Edit: I really hope you are going to edit 99% of your team after seeing this post.
I'd find it hard to nominate someone like Jerome Kaino. He was one of, if not the best in the world, before he went overseas but no idea how he's been playing since.
I was a little surprised at how good George Smith still is, he's all class and he hadn't played in Australia since 2010 or something. I doubt Jerome Kaino's declined much in a year and a half.

I think Smith is still the best center 1 Jenkins 2 Bismarck du Plessis 3 4 5 6 Dusautoir 7 McCaw 8 Read 9 Fourie du Preez 10 Carter 11 Dagg 12 Roberts 13 C. Smith 14 Jane 15 Halfpenny Pretty certain you'd be looking at this based off of international form over the past 2-3 years. Ideally Dagg would play fullback but Halfpenny isn't far behind and Dagg is a worldclass winger aswell. If Dagg moves to the back North comes into the side.
