So.. skippos morgan player is an outlier , but for everyone else go by whats on the registration. Without going into to much details, Skippos morgan should be considered solely an SF. It's literally only him lol, and he is GF in the sim lol. its just a little weird with him. In the lineup example you posted, dyer's rego is PG, mine has 2 guard and skippos had SF so it matched up to what i said even though you don't actually have to do that in the sim. you could play 5 centers if you want but for hte sake of the draft i'd rather go standard for first five
Cricsim X Player Profiles Point Guard: Charlie Downes. 6'1, 182lbs @Number 11 Plays like: D'Aaron Fox Charlie Downes is QUICK. And athletic. With his wingspan, leap and pace, he's a nightmare matchup. He can weave through those taller than him, and jump over those his size. Boy can shoot, too. He's just gotta make sure he doesn't get too caught up on offense, and running out games is going to be a concern. Combo Guard: Chad Dyer. 6'3, 190lbs @MrPrez Plays like: John Wall - budget version. Did I say Charlie Downes was quick? Chad Dyer takes that to the next level. They're both similar players and probably battle for minutes, Downes is a little better at the rim and rebounding, but Dyer's that little bit quicker and drains them from behind the arc. Defense is certainly a concern with his defensive IQ and lack of wingspan. Combo Guard: Ben Knox. 6'5, 205lbs @Bender Plays like: D'Angelo Russell Knox is just a classic all-rounder. He doesn't dominate in any part of the game, but he chips in across the court. Solid shooter from all parts, great handles, athletic, good vision. But perhaps he's held back by his lack of a stand out quality? Only season 2 will tell. Shooting Guard: Alex O'Driscoll. 6'5, 210lbs @Alex Plays like: Malik Beasley Another offensive heavy shooter, O'Driscoll should provide some x-factor off the bench. He's quick, deadly from distance and runs out games well. The question mark for him will be what does he do when the shots aren't falling? Does he have a plan B? Guard-forward: Simmo Morgan. 6'9, 215lbs @Skippos Plays like: Ben Simmons An easy comparison, Simmo Morgan tries his hardest to be Ben Simmons, weaker passing but stronger from mid range, however. Morgan found real success at the rim in season 1. Relying on his elite dribbling, size, athleticism and wingspan to get to the rim, concerns are rife that opposition coaches have found him out. If you find a good defensive matchup for him, does he have anything else? Cricsim X will certainly hope so. Guard-forward: El Jefe Heef. 6'8, 240lbs @HeathDavisSpeed Plays like: Robert Covington Heef's the dark horse. GM Skippos asked for someone with brains and in Heef, he received. Playing taller than the 6'8 he reports in at, El Jefe is a throwback to a previous generation. A scholar of the game, he knows where to be and what to do, and has a particular affinity for the mid range jump shot, something many of his peers avoid. Forward: Michael Barwick, 6'6, 220lbs @morgieb Plays like: Bojan Bogdanovic Severely undersized for the 4 he so desperately wants to chop in at, and lacking the elite 3 ball he needs to stretch there, Barwick sits in no-mans land as a player and needs to find something fast come season 2. He's trying to be Lamarcus Aldridge with his smarts and midrange efficiency, but just....struggles...everywhere apart from the line. I guess he's got no clear deficiencies - and that's a positive? Big man: Matty James, 7'1, 265lbs @jimmy_c8 Plays like: Aron Baynes but bigger A limited but potentially effective goliath, Matty James is money for jam in close. 7'1 with some serious strength and wingspan, James is a nightmare to defend in the post and has a real crack when defending himself. Could he be more board dominant? Certainly for his size. Stretch big: Steven Cambridge, 6'11, 261lbs @stupersteve03 Plays like: Kevin Love The value in Cambridge might not be in the numbers he produces, but the space he creates for others. A real monster at 6'11 with his 3 point shooting, opponents have no choice but to follow him outside while also needing to be careful of his size, strength and ability at the rim. A solid board-grabber, the concern for Steve might be that apart from being able to shoot that three ball - what else does he have? Big big big boi: Boo Khaki, 7'1, 300lbs @Boobidy Plays like: Hassan Whiteside A limited player, but one with immense value, Khaki defends the rim perfectly with his size, wingspan and defensive nous, while also providing a dominant option in the post. You don't want him touching the ball if he's not about to score or block, but that's fine - because he knows his role and he sticks to it.
You can try... Given Knox and I both can play both guards you'll probably get decent minutes even when I'm on the floor tbh.
You were the last picked for a reason. I’d have picked you ahead of Hawke and definitely Dong but that’s it
You can probably do something in a small ball unit if you are moving of the ball well. Just not really a prototypical wing player in the modern game and would struggle to defend at the 4.
Yeah I was trying but I think we will make do. Hawke gets drafted. He wasn't a terrible player, just not who we needed. Hopefully Skippos agrees that I can at least sign any new guards who sign up to help round out the squad, since he had first choice in every pick. Cricsim Prime Guards: Howe / Deen / Scrute Wings/Forwards: Lukic / Chewie / Read / Hawke Centres: James / Hoppus / Dong
If you sign Arheiner as a guard I can 100% get Wheelson on here to join Skippos’ team so as to even it out. What do we need the most Skip?
