The final batting spot will be a battle between McGrath, Hornby, Luffman and anyone else that I've forgotten. The final bowling position will depend on how well Callum's going with the pill. Alec could well come in.
I'd say your better of batting farny at 10 and choco at 9, he has shown a bit of something with the bat on occasion.
As far as rep cricket goes, Choco averages more, (ie over ten) has a better strike rate and his high score is only 1 run short of Farnsworth. Choco is a better bet as a rep batsmen.
How much safer would you feel "batting" (if you can call what farny does batting) down to number 10 though... I am clearly joking about moving choco up the order.
The biggest reason that Choco averages a little bit more than Farny is due to the fact that Choco has 26 not outs compared to Farny's 2. Farny still has more ability with the bat than Choco, sometimes people can read a bit too much into stats.
Looking at Farny's stats, you can't believe he's an all-rounder! Still should bat ahead of the nigger though.
OK so farny has a second class 300 I am fully aware he is a better batter, but how do you expect him to get any better if you keep giving him a free ride. Just because he is supposed to be a bowling allrounder doesn't mean he should automatically get preference, he needs to prove he deserves his spot in the batting line-up.
He is hardly getting a free ride at 9. Really 9 is a tailender pretty much. The fact that in FC cricket in general Farny averages high teens with the bat and Choco averages just over 10 shows you that Farny has more ability.
Yet he can't turn that ability in to runs. Now I am not serious, I also would think it a dud move to bat choco higher. It was infact a joke. However I think the fact that it wasn't obvious to everyone gives at least a bit of validity to the point. It is not as if farny is being picked in this side as an allrounder, he would in truth make every rep side as a pure bowler, so really it should come down to performance as too who bats higher between the bowlers, not potential.
Yeah you are right that at this level considering Farny as an allrounder is really too much of a stretch. I really do not think he should be getting anywhere near number 8 in a side like this but to say he should be below Choco is just stupid. Bowlers are not relied on for getting runs but you should put the person with the greatest potential to score the most runs highest and that is Farny.
