    Warriors, Titans, Cowboys, Knights, Eels & the Tigers I'm sort of off & on, I think it's the merger than confuses me.

    I really only hate; Souffs, Dragons, Dogs, Manly & Broncos. The rest I just dislike for minor reasons.

    Why?

    He could have handled it a lot better.

    Sure the press stitched him up about that crying in the sheds at halftime incident last year with the Knights, but that was most likely in retaliation to the absolute shunt of an interview he gave when he was at the merge.

    The media....like it or not, play a large part in today's game. It's not that hard to be courteous and still say nothing.

    I admit that I am biased as I do have a soft spot for him; however you are right.

    Here's a bloke who:
    • Likely got little to no sleep the night before.
    • Likely hung over.
    • Likely knew Benny was on the edge of leaving, though didn't know the day or the hour. He may not have even known, or at least hadn't had an opportunity to absorb it.
    • Likely got little to no sleep the night before.

    • Was ambushed by a news crew in front of fans whilst checking out of hotel room.
    • Likely got little to no sleep the night before.
    • Likely hung over.

    Boyd doesn't have a great track record with the media; what were they expecting?

    Ugh. Please. You know what courtesy is? Courtesy is contacting PR and requesting an interview or asking him personally if they can interview. Courtesy is not badgering players in the car park as they're trying to leave. Typical hack tabloid journalism, further evidenced by the fact that they even turned this nothing event into a story. Fuck Channel 7.

    Not sure a guy who opens with "get fucked" is necessarily the best authority on politeness or etiquette. But to answer your fatuous question, not hard at all. No more difficult than it is for the hack journalists to not badger him in the car park. If they're gonna do that, then they can't complain when Boyd messes with them. Fuck these intrusive cunts. How can you criticise Boyd for his lack of courtesy when they're the ones out of line? All they have to do is ask him if he'd mind answering a few questions. If he says yes, fine fill your boots. If he doesn't say yes, leave the cunt alone.

    And as if saying "no comment" makes them stop.

    He's perhaps slightly out of line but I can understand a player getting cynical about these people. It's fucking rude to interview people who haven't consented. He's not a war criminal or a corporate executive guilty of dumping toxic waste. This 60 Minutes approach is bullshit. I wouldn't be surprised if they half-expected to get this sort of reaction as they know his feelings towards the media. And if they did, they knew they could sell that too. It's created quite a stir.
