5 Stache's representing South, 3 starting. Should be boss. Also Amir on the bench for the Norths. South should outscore North, only miss match is at the Centre position. Weaver will need to play his heart out.
And if Weaver does outplay Gayler, we still have gun Centre's on the bench. North have an epic few players on the bench tbh
Yeah but if you loook at the PPG's Gayler is one of the lowest for a Centre by quite a distance, he has 12 while Narang has 20 You look at PPG to determine how good they are right?
Position Match Ups North - South PG: Cambridge vs Carson [Laing, Manera - N/A] Carson has the Edge over Cambridge. With Mousey electing for no back up PG, Carson will have the same role at his club the Moustaches. Manera and Laing will be rotate through the PG spot but i assume the SG spot as well. If carson gets tired, i'm pretty certain Son can go to PG, James/Vince to SG. SG: Ikram vs Son [N/A - James, Vince Son by far is better, and then when James comes on, South lose barely any fire power. Ikram might have the height over Son and James but still won't be able to shut down their speed. It'll be interesting to see what Steve rotates through the SG spot with the 2 Bench PGs in Laing and Manera and the SF, Morris, on the bench. SF: Downes vs Torres [Morris - Lukic, Welker, Schaw] Leading MVP vote getter Torres will be going up against the taller bigger Power Forward in Downes. Torres is faster and more agile and should beat Downes on the slash n drive. But will be mismatched in the post. Downes will have to make the most of his height and get into the post as much as he can. Torres will need help from others if he wants to defend the post. Like Torres, Lukic, Schaw and Welker will need to play off the dribble to beat their taller opponents. PF: McDougal vs Hunt [Amir - Burridge] This is the 2nd main position for the North Squad, they need to make the most of their guns. Hunt will have his hands full, especially with little support off the bench. Doog, a scoring machine and Amir a solid All round PF will keep Hunt on the ball for most of the game. But what Hunt's worries about is the North Centers. Gayler, Chewie, Narang and Rogers. All dominate centers for their clubs, it will be a battle. C: Gayler vs Weaver [Chewie, Narang, Rogers - Masters] This position is where its won or lost. If North get on top, they can control the boards and rhythm of the game. But if South get the control of the boards then they are able to release Carson, Son, James, Torres, Lukic in to the fast breaks for a few easy buckets. Gayler a board gathering machine will be up against the undersized Weaver. It might be worth using Masters in this position and let Weaver rotate with Hunt through the PF spots. If i was doing the tactics for these teams, i'd have North Play inside Look in the post Don't Crash the boards, get back on defence (Crash Boards - 50) South Play outside Double team in the post (Gayler, Rogers, Chewie, Narang, McDougal and Downes) Fast Break (90) Crash Boards (90)
Mainly SG, but maybe a touch of SF. Depends who's on at the time. If I'm a PG or Schaw is a PF for example.
