Are we chopping and changing the cricsim sides too much?

    Thoughts?

Come to think of it, there has been a fair few changing of teams over the past couple of seasons.

Not really. There's nothing to be offered, team are always going to look shit so nobody goes there, they will need to be replaced with better looking team. People stop being active, can't manage a team and if they're the heart and soul, it's useless carrying the team on.

    I'm all for it.

    Definitely.

I desperately wanted to consolidate next season and keep the same eight teams.

The Lions folding changed that though. Originally I was set on keeping it at seven but I went through a few things and there are frankly too many players at the moment to just have seven. We needed eight.

Hopefully we can keep this eight for another few seasons at least.

What if the Pumas fold? @ Rob.

If not, we can just ban people. Mainly the Lions, just ban them all. Will solve the numbers problem.

How did Gemmell just straight up get one though? I dunno what more I'd have to do to get one.

    Not @ Rob

Then they fold, so what, they will have to be replaced...

I was looking for a bit more information.. Like who might replace them.

Just enforce a player number cap or something, forcing players to stay witha team. **** having teams bitch out constantly etc.

We needed to act fast, basically.

I tried to get him to take over the Lions. I even tried to get him to ask Elliott for permission to take over the Redbacks.

We needed eight teams and we needed them finalised pretty quickly. I don't really like the idea of the Carbonators, but I do know that they'll be able to assemble a decent team in a short time for next season.

    You already have one. :p

I have my doubts over the Cyclones viability without you anyway unless Bedsey wants to take up CoS-ing again.

The Pumas will be playing in Season 9.

We'll cross that bridge if we come to it after that.

    Carbinators will do alright.

Sorry for possibly being dense, but I don't understand why we needed to act so fast? We've still got a fair length to go in this season, and we all know that the off-seasons aren't quick. Especially with other sims who are operating at the time.

I don't see why we needed to finalise them in the blink of an eye. Don't see the harm in the exact same system you put forward last season.

    Give me a team.

    The Awesomes

    It's basically be me.

    Alec can be first reserve.

Actually, a system similar to that when the Vipers folded should have happened IMO. Allow a new team in and give them permission alone to look for interests for the coming season then have it so clubs are allowed to ask these Lions players if they are willing to sign for their club.

It's because I'd already opened negotiations. It would have got far too confusing if we had negotiations open everywhere and no-one knew which teams would be in and out.

I'm sure it'd be fine for the top level of up-to-date members but if I was an occasional visitor or a new member, I'd be tearing my hair out and getting offers for next season from a team that may or not be existing, and getting offers from teams that are dependant on whether they get a player or he goes to a team that may or may not exist.

I wanted the 8th team last night. I already regret it, TBH, but it's not because I thought someone else should have got the team. I wish I'd just kept it at seven for another season. If something else dire happens I may even cancel the team.

I didn't like how it was done last season, too many players were going to too many different teams. In the end there were two strong teams with plenty of members all passionate about getting the team started up and Rob basically had to say yes to both of them (which I picked :p) even though the plan was only to pick one. I'm guessing Rob didn't want the same to happen again this season.

I'd still rather Allstars over Pumas for Season 9. ;)
