A new team is gonna have to get ~20 players, with 4 teams to get them from losing 3 players isn't really destroying the team. EVen if they were good players. And a bit of recruitment would help fill any gaps not anlready filled my reserve players So pretty much the entire team is gonna be n00bs with 0 post counts, who will likely fail and lose interest, works well. You can put down Hughesy bid, because he's a tard, If the Gamblols pull this off successfully I agree, dunno if they will though.
Yeah, I think a bid is incredibly stiff to be rejected because it'll take a couple of good players from another side. There's still another off season for that team to get another good player on their side. Surely the Gamblers will be in a worse position to start than the Vikings would have been. They'll have Gemmell - a great number 8, and then a whole bunch of new players starting from the very bottom.
Oh yeah, I totally agree that the Gamblers will be either a hit or a miss, but the fact is Heef has already decided and it's pretty dire for anyone else to say that they shouldn't have been picked, now.
I also can't help but think the bid was given a huge boost by what Rob had to say. Not that that's a bad thing, I just think if he hadn't said what he said the bid wouldn't have been viewed as legitimately as it was.
I don't really see how there is a problem with people saying they don't think they are the right team to get picked, as long as they do it in the right manner.
Yeah, I've no problem with people saying it's the wrong choice as there's certainly a bit of risk associated with it.
The team is coming together well. I'm still looking to recruit a few more players for our starting lineup but I have a few active members who aren't currently registered about to sign up, I'm just waiting to see what gaps we need to fill before they register.
Would be good to see the likes of MF and jazman active in SR. I think bringing the Gamblers in was a good call.
