How good were the pigs in the second. Willison, Haas and Piakura.

    Cheers mate! :gora:

I stayed away time around... And it paid off. I can go to another Broncos GF now

That last 20 felt like deja vu from last week. Melbourne totally fatigued and looked like Penrith, out of ideas when theres no go forward.

They still would've won with a bit of patience, some of their decisions were woeful, couldn't hack it under pressure.

How good for Qld and Brissy this year.

Lions get up in the AFL, Qld win State of Origin, girls win the NRLW, and now the Broncos in the NRL. Well done to all of them.

They really only looked dangerous with Paps. Fuck i thought he was gonna snatch it but Walsh just could do no wrong.

3 try savers, 3 try assists, 2 line break assists and one of the greatest solo tries. Walks into the Test no.1.

I was nervous as fuck when Loiero was binned.

Broncos concede tries playing against 12 men.

Really goes to show that attitude and belief is the unquantifiable x-factor of champions, no matter the sport.

Tell you what the NRL must jizz in their pants every time Brisbane make a GF cause fuck they've played some hum dingers. '15, '23 and '25 all going down to the wire.

As much as Kamikamica butchered that try, Meaney deserves more criticism. That defence was beyond disgusting in a grand final.

    Brisbane's last three second halves
    Raiders 10, Panthers 0, Storm 0.

And I'm still in awe of Reece Walsh. To do what he did on both sides of the field, in both attack and defence. It was peak Jarryd Hayne 09 but better. Dude was like a kid down the park just tearing everything up. You simply cannot play better as a fullback than what Walsh did tonight from the 30 minute mark. So many great players in the match but Walsh kept Brisbane in it and then literally dragged his team over the line just as he did against Canberra. Stepped up when the 7 went down and then again after Hunt went down.

3 try assists, 3 try savers, 2 line break assists, and 1 amazing solo try. Probably the best 50 odd minutes I've seen from a fullback, given the occasion. Even the pass that was called forward was incredible how he got it away.

Cleary had that 15-20 minute period in 2023 but I think this eclipses it because it was sustained. The only GF performance from a single player comparable would be Johns in 01 imo.

Very sloppy defence, but I'm glad Shibasaki had a great finish to the night after some questionable defence in the first half.

What did you make of Paix? I really hate his sluggish service. Even the second try to Mariner, Munster nearly swatted from marker cause the cunt was a snail out there. I lost count the number of times he wasnt there ready to convert a quick play the ball.

I get the whole injury and time off thing, and look maybe there was a phone call made but I'm sorry, if Mitchell Moses is fit how on earth is he not on the Kangaroo tour? It's highly arguable that he should be there ahead of Cleary.

He was good in attack at times. That miss on Katoa at the death was fucking criminal though.

That game from Walsh was so impressive. I remember him looking that dominant and in command at the Warriors when they'd all clocked off in covid and he had to do everything week in week out. To do it like that in a grand final is insane. Had a few bucks on Shibasaki for the Clive, was hoping he'd have snuck over for a couple more given how heavily they hit him.

I'm a bit worried at how much I enjoy watching Hughes, Munster and Grant lose though, the way they sook and carry on at every decision and the weird entitlement they seem to carry themselves with really, really irks me.

I can't stand the way they always look to push a bit of a self development 'yeah i was in a dark place bra' angle every time a player fucks up then has on field success. Like its one thing for say a Mitchell Pearce story where he was just a bit pissy and being a goose to get off the drink and straighten up. But the extent to which Ezra Mam, Taylan May/all the other domestic shit tends to get glossed over as the male resilience thing really doesn't sit right with me. I think its better left unsaid/media heads like Fittler/channel 9 in general actually make a point to avoid interviewing those guys post game, it shouldn't necessarily define them for the rest of time, but it feels like there's a disconnect between actions and consequence when your lauded as a superstar come back story so close to fucking up that bad.

Epic game. Walsh with possibly the best single game performance, on top of a Hayne/Trbo like final 6-8 weeks.
