    I really like Fittler’s selections in the squad so far, Lomax probably the only real stinker so far for mine.

    Definitely would’ve had Graham & Klemmer in the squad too. Always hard to trust Paul Kent but he said Klemmer was dropped for being a sook last year so maybe justified for other reasons...

    The stinkers are yet to come (I suspect mainly from Penrith and Souths) as they've left themselves too many open slots by virtue of leaving out players who definitely should have been there. Klemmer not being picked is criminal. He can sook all he likes if he makes 125m in 41 minutes - which is precisely what he did in Game III last year after his supposed sooking for being criminally left out of the original lineup. I honestly think we would've lost that game if Tariq didn't pull out injured.

    This is gonna be the worst series in a long time. Both sides are adding to the growing injury toll with insane selections. Picking Kerr in a squad of 27, yet somehow Josh McGuire isn't in that top squad. Bennett can get fucked.

    Where would that Queensland side finish in the NRL competition? Pretty much all SOO sides would walk their way to a Premiership, but I'm far from convinced that Queensland side would....

    How many of them would make the NSW team? Munster and DCE?

    Queensland have picked the better bench but that’s about the only thing they have over a NSW with some very dubious selections.

    That three-quarter line for Qld may be the worst ever assembled by either state in the history of state of origin.

    Murray & Crichton on the bench makes absolutely no sense, I’m hoping there will be some last minute shuffling if not I can just see one of Crichton or Murray getting some minutes in the front row.

    I’m also very curious to see how Fittler plans to use Walker off the bench. He covers very few positions as a utility and would lose all effectiveness if tried to deploy in a role such as dummy half.

    I dunno if DCE would. Munster, Papa and Hunt would be the options to make an Aus side from the 2 teams listed. This QLD actually makes me sick. Bennett has been poor at picking squads for a few years now.

    It does have an air of '95 and '01 about it tbh. As with any Footy match at this level, if they all turn up and put in top efforts they can win.
