Vunivalu would have been excellent at exploiting it, Storm will miss him in that regard.

  2. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

He is still there for another year.

  3. Paddy P Orr

You'd think they'd have to make a concession and exclude circumstances of defending your try line much like the stripping rule.

As somebody who followed Union long before League, I've always thought it was ridiculous that you could actively try and tackle somebody in the air.

You'll still be able to contest the ball and from what I read, it's currently the law for international RL already?

    Latrell Mitchell officially released.

Doesn't suck as much as when RTS left but its up there. Both once in a decade type players from a club level perspective.

  7. Toolman TR Man

He'll be playing fullback at Souths apparently. I think he fits in at Souths better.. a team full of talented morons who might string together a winning season but will never be consistent.

Thats the difference between Easts winning the comp and not. Jeez they played this one badly.

  9. Tartmaster AJ James

I think it's understandable from the club.
He clearly didn't want to be there anymore, and he's inconsistent enough as it is, add in more disinterest/discontentment and I could see him having a bludger of a season.

Particularly when he quite obviously was having a fit about not playing fullback and they were never going to drop/shift Tedesco.

Gonna be great watching the coon squad just implode. They could be gone walkabout by round 12

He’s going to have to drop some kegs to play fullback week in week out.

Yep, otherwise he'll just end up playing left inside centre.

  14. Toolman TR Man

so what's happening with jarryd hayne and jack de belin?

  15. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Latrell has been eating at Greg's place by the look of it.

At the very, very least you drive up the price.

Either that or leading the comp....

I'd take that spine over just about any other in the comp.

I dont think any of you blokes understand the gravity of this...

Souths’ pack needed addressing following departure of both starting second rowers, and with another leaving the season prior. Will have at least two or three genuine first graders playing reserve grade in the backs and out and out second graders playing key minutes in the forwards - that’s gonna be a big worry, particularly against the gun sides like Easts and Melbourne who just rolled over the pack in key games last year.

  20. Magic AJ Parker

At 800k its a pretty good gamble for Souths. Worst case scenario they end up with the best centre in the game at maybe a little over market value.

How he deals with being put back at centre could be a bit of a tricky one though. He is very tempremental.
