They did give it to Cherry-Evans a few years ago. Tedesco was fine but he still wasn't outstanding.

Er yeah i just said that. Calm down mate. Cheers.

    Cummins surely.

Tedesco really wasnt allowed into the match. They were all over him like a rash.

I thought JWH was monumental in the first half.

    Papalii was superb.

How good was Morris in the air? Brilliant.

Wighton was good too. Probably needed to pass at certain times a little more.

LOL, the refs copping the boos.

Nobody will remember this but check the replay from the first half. That kick which CNK took dead was actually taken dead by Cordner. Shouldve been a Raiders 7 tackle set. Ended up being a Chooks try.

Everything I wished I would have ever experienced supporting this club. Back to back!

6 finals games in 2 years, 6 tries conceded. Immense defence and it was on show again tonight. Raiders just couldn't crack us.

Especially when the refs took their ball away

You really think being denied a kick on last tackle was the game decider?

    Also Ryan James  WTF?

Doesnt mean Canberra would have won, but when you add that to the trainer bullshit, yeah its pretty fucking costly.

I think changing a call mid play with the players not being aware of it, and the other team scoring off the back of it is a game decider

I'd say the thing that costed the Raiders the most was despite 50minutes straight of domination in field position they couldn't create any points and left it open for the Roosters to snatch it late.

That 50minutes also included a 10minute period where the Roosters were down to 10 through a poor call from the refs.

I get it, everyone wanted to see Raiders win and if it was close there was always going to be some manufactured outrage. But the balance in analysis of why Canberra lost is so misguided and ignorant.

The trainer debacle was just unlucky. No need for trainers to be on the field for last tackles fullstop but the refs got it right.

The trainer call was correct, just unlucky.
    The Cronk call was correct.
The 6 again call, I honestly don’t even know what the call should have been, but you absolutely cannot call and signal 6 again and then change your mind when the bloke takes a tackle.

The Cronk sin bin was the wrong call and it came on the back of another wrong call after Whitehead knocked on but was given a penalty.

Cummins fucked up (shock) but denying the Raiders a kick on last tackle when they couldn't create shit for 50 minutes of field domination isn't the reason they lost. It isn't even in the top 10.

Before the Tedesco try we had just made a linebreak, then Keary just missed his execution on Tupou who was in the clear, then the Tupou linebreak and try and then Tedesco made a linebreak a few minutes later. The Roosters were opening up the Raiders later, the try just happened to come after Cummins fucked.

There's a lot people don't want to talk about, Cummins 100% fucked up but the other 79 minutes and 50 seconds also played a pretty big role in the end result.

People are acting like Canberra had a try taken off them, no just the opportunity to kick it on last tackle. No different to an incorrect ruling on a knock on, forward pass, penalty, charge down or any other fundamental incorrect ruling that results in another set. This just happened under more bizzare circumstance however the effect was still the same, Raiders just missed out on a set, hell not even a set just the opportunity to kick on last. Would there have been as much outrage if Canberra had scored off that 6 again call even thought it shouldn't have been 6 again?

Fuck no. And I get it, the neutral wanted to see Canberra win.

  18. Tartmaster AJ James

The Cronk call was 100% correct.
He hit papa before he caught the ball, which is illegal.
If he didn’t make an illegal tackle, it’s papa v Cronk 1 on 1 close to the line, certainly a potential try scoring situation.
Thats pretty consistent with prof fouls this year.

The biggest issue with the 6 again isn’t whether it was the right or wrong call. It’s the fact that 6 again was called which changes how the players acted.
And you’re out of your mind if you think you wouldn’t be blowing up supreme if it happened the other way round.
From junior football we teach kids to play to the whistle, the raiders did that here and then lost possession at a pivotal time because the refs changed their mind on a call mid-play.
Right or wrong, they had to run with the call that was made.

Would there have been outrage if the raiders scored off that set?
Probably, it would just be you lot who were more outraged.

The first try came directly off a repeat set they should never have had. It shouldve been a 20m, 7 tackle set for Canberra, and the second try came directly after the fiasco call from Cummins.

Saying there wouldnt have been outrage if Canberra had been given 6 again and scored is irrelevant.
