Jesus Christ Kevvie, there's no need to start crying ffs.

I don't think there's any chance of Milford starting at 6. Even if Thurston is out, it'll be Morgan.

I'm fine with Boyd over Slater. Billy would've beaten Hayne with speed and Darius will be him with the pass. Either way Hayne should be our main target. Just a shame we have O'Neill out there instead of Holmes.

Guerra and O'Neill are the two biggest disappointments. Neither of them should be anywhere near Origin at this stage.

Paddy and Harry Sack like this.

What on earth is the point of having Josh Jackson on the bench? Especially when you've already got a lock replacement in Trbojevic. Jackson is not a second rower, and he sure as fuck isn't an impact player. It's just so tiring to see, year after year, supposed experts making elementary mistakes in player analysis.

Can't believe they didn't select Vaughan. Was expecting it because every predicted lineup didn't have him in the mix but still, he's absolutely tearing up the comp at the moment.

  7. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Agreed. It's silly to pick Trbojevic to play up front instead of Vaughan because you want more mobility.

  8. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

It's great to see Papalii finally push his way into the starting side. Hope he tears Pearce a new arsehole.

  9. Wilson SB Wilson

If Jack Bird isn't the best centre for the state I'll eat my hat

If this game was being played in Sydney I think we'd be fucked. As it stands it's as near a coin toss as it has been for a decade imo.

Despite our dramatically weakened side I can't wait to see how Napa goes. Hope that ranga stomps some smurfs. :p

  13. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

There is no logic in playing Frizzelle in the middle instead of Jackson imo.

And I still can't believe they left Vaughan out.

  14. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

One positive for us is that with Papalii, Gillett and Napa starting we have more big hitters than we've had since Carroll, Costigan and Webb retired.

We really need to win the battle of the hitting.

  15. AVA T Delonge

I must admit, it feels fucking good to not have Farah in the team.

  16. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Gould reckons we can't win it without Slater. Jesus Christ, I like Billy but fmd they're all going way overboard. Walters crying, Miles saying he's the best fullback of the modern era. Mate, that would be the bloke sitting next to you at the selection table. I mean ffs, we've won the last two series without him haven't we? It's not like we've struggled for points with Boyd at the back. If anything he's been more productive than Slater.

Aside from pure speed and his running game both with the ball in hand and on kick chase, I don't really see why he should displace Boyd who threw the last pass for 3 QLD tries and scored one himself. I was for Billy if it meant the Inglis/Boyd combination reuniting but that's gone so I'm fine with Boyd being left there. Slater is just an unnecessary risk afaic.

  17. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Would rather Slater in the centres than Oneill. How the fuck does that cunt keep getting picked. Hasn't broken the line this decade.

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Agree. Morgan, Munster and Gagai are all better options.

  19. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

This is the team I wanted

    Boyd
    Goates
    Chambers
    Gagai
    Holmes
    Milford
    Cronk
    Lillyman
    Smith
    Napa
    Papa
    Gillett
    McGuire

    Morgan
    Wallace
    Thaiday
    Hess

  20. Toolman TR Man

Thurston will most likely play imo.
