Pretty much like the last 3 games I just hope the Cows have a real crack and win or lose I'll be happy as hell with what they achieved this season. Major underdogs that have achieved more than they really should have and defied statistics and history.
Storm will win I think. Just hope it's not a blowout. Cows have had to travel to Sydney four weeks in a row and have been on the road for over a month. Head says Storm 28-10, heart wants to see Cows by a point off Morgan's boot.
I hope it's a blowout. It's a disgrace to the game that a team who basically finished 9th can win the comp. They deserve to be smashed for the good of the game.
I think out of all the teams in the top 8, Cowboys will trouble Storm the most. You just know they'll be coming for the entire 80 minutes, while Melbourne likes to find those moments where a team goes to sleep for a bit and strike at that point. I think the key here is also for the Cowboys not to get baited in the QLD friendly image the Storm have, they are absolute cunts on the inside. They won't give a shit about the QLD players in the Cowboys side. It's one of the things the Broncos do, a lot of them can't have that killing edge when they play Melbourne because "can't hurt our buddies". Just go and smash those fuckers, twist some balls, rub the face in the dirt. Just gotta keep coming at them. Don't think they'll win, but they could make Melbourne very nervous.
See I think the opposite. Ball movement troubles the Storm. You've got to have genuine ball players both sides of the ruck and at first and second receiver. Trying to unsettle them in a physical battle is bread and butter to them. The Cows have reverted to a very conservative style of footy the last couple of months, not too unsimilar to the Storm and they'll falter in trying to beat the Storm at a game they've been playing for the last decade. I think the Storms only vulnerability in this game is quite a few players through the 17 who do lack a little finals experience. But even then that's sort of clutching. Cows best chance is scoring points early and then defending for their lives.
Have to agree with that, I can see the Cows playing conservatively early on for completion rates but then they'll have to start chancing their arm with ball movement and even offloads.
If another cunt mentions momentum being on the Cowboys side I'll lose it. Melbourne go into this game on a 9 game winning streak.
I really wanna put money on Tohu Harris for MOTM but the cunt never seems to get the credit he deserves. Will Chambers @ $41 is tempting too.
If Chambers was on Linnett I would. Can see him scoring on O'Neill as well. Reckon Cronk or Munster will win it.
