Myself and a few mates did our usual count and came up with this leaderboard. Anyone else do their own count so we can compare and hopefully win a bit of money come Brownlow night? N Fyfe - 28 S Mitchell - 24 D Hannebery - 24 D Mundy - 23 M Priddis - 22 T Goldstein - 20 P Dangerfield - 18 T Cotchin - 18 J P Kennedy - 18 A Gaff - 18 Team Leaders: Adelaide: Dangerfield (18), Thompson (13), Sloane (11) Brisbane: Beams (13), Martin (6), Rockliff (4), Rich (4) Carlton: Murphy (11), Cripps (8), Bell (4) Collingwood: Pendlebury (15), Swan (15), Adams (11) Essendon: Heppell (10), Watson (6), Daniher (6), Hurley (6) Fremantle: Fyfe (28), Mundy (23), Neale (16) Geelong: Selwood (11), Motlop (9), Blicavs (8) Gold Coast: Bennell (6), Dixon (5), Hall (5) GWS: Ward (12), Shiel (11), Treloar (10) Hawthorn: Mitchell (24), Hodge (15), Roughead (13) Melbourne: Vince (14), Jones (11), Hogan (6) North Melbourne: Goldstein (20), Higgins (9), Ziebell (8), Petrie (8), Cunnington (8) Port Adelaide: Gray (15), Boak (13), Ebert (8), Wingard (8) Richmond: Cotchin (18), Ellis (15), Deledio (14) St Kilda: Armitage (16), Steven (10) Riewoldt (5) Sydney: Hannebery (24), Kennedy (18), Franklin (12) West Coast: Priddis (22), Gaff (18), Kennedy (9), Naitanui (9) Bulldogs: Bontempelli (14), Wallis (12), M Boyd (10) Obvious issues here could be the overpolling of Mundy and the underpolling of Danger but we'll see how we go. Always a bit of fun comparing it to how Brownlow night pans out
Yeah if Fyfe under polls early then I wouldn't be surprised to see Priddis/Hannebery/Danger come really close. The umpires love Danger so even though we only have him on 18 votes I expect him to get more on the night.
A bloke I know put $100 on Goldy at $1,001 before the season started. He'll come out on top given he can lay off but a great bet considering he's up there with the favourites now in betting
Yeah that's a good bet but all the people jumping on him when he's 2nd favourite is shocking I reckon. He's had a couple of games where he's played well but he'll get outvoted by some mids. Top 5-10 finish is my expectation but I'd love for him to prove me wrong and win it.
Would be stoked with a top 3 finish from Goldy. Haven't had anyone close to a chance since boomer in 2007
It is amazing how much the media actually control the betting, they hype people up every year that often get nowhere near it.
I'm going to do a personal count based on stats pretty much unless I remember watching the game. Will post when I finish it.
Yeah, awesome. That'd be good. Although stats are sometimes misleading in terms of votes. Will be a good read nonetheless.
Just make sure you don't have Fyfe on 30 votes after round 10.. Otherwise anyone from Perth will blow their load.
