That's awesome! Good to see Western Jets doing well again... fucking spastics. That club is such a shit hole.
To an extent. He's a strange player; you pick him on what he might become not what he is now. Quick, evasive. Fall, nice kick. Has a lot to work with. Top 15-20 are great. After that it's a progressive decline.
So corrupt, so much politics in that club has ruined it. So many gun players have missed opportunities because the hierarchy of the club have an agenda. If they weren't so worried on playing people who were hardly deserving of a game, and more focused on playing those kids with pure talent, there would've been alot more kids drafted out of there in the last 5-9 years. So many people have missed chances because they're a poorly run club. The last of the matter ill say in a public forum on the internet.
Yeah I was going to say he doesn't seem like a world beater sort of talent right now in terms of his actual games that I saw of him.
No matter what level of sport you are playing at that there is huge levels of politics that play into a lot of it.
Lol. Not the case at all, i actually played jets... but righteo. Ask anyone who knows a little about the Jets and they will tell you the same stories.
Yeah, the Jets were fucked for years. Athletes over players, favourites over guns, friends over unknowns, etc. After they got rid of that Sexton flog it all seemed to improve.
There was a bloke playing 2s with my brother getting a gig there at the Jets for a while all because he was tall - hadn't played a game in his life before that season. Shocking stuff. It wasn't like he showed much either. Decent athlete, but nothing to right home about, pretty poor awareness.
Yep, i think every club has one of those stories about the Jets. We had a bloke who was literally 5 foot nothing, poor kick, poor endurance, poor ability to read the play somehow get a gig. lol
