    Tasman for the championship

They won that last year. I think you want them to win the Premiership. If they hadn't thrown the game away vs. Taranaki...

Went to the game. Got in free. I'm glad I didn't pay as Wellington were barely club standard. What's happened to Brad Shields? he was awful.

  4. Gazza GJ Weaver

Yeah, that one. Looking unstoppable atm

  5. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Surprised he was that bad - but he has definitely declined since two years ago when me and Rego were all gaga over him.

I've watched bits and pieces of the match now.

Maybe he just doesn't know how to play number 8. He seems to be playing one or two positions out from the ruck instead of joining in the ruck or doing the hard work.
his work rate looks down and he is not getting low when driving the ball forward.

He must have done some horrendous things wasn't looking because really for most of the game he didn't really make any mistakes however he also looked like a peripheral player.

Yeah he's been pretty average this season, that being said when the whole team is playing like crud, I guess the chances of playing poorly increase.

Awful crowd at Wellington matching their awful performance, on a side note FMG stadium is a piece of shit. Just not designed for the atmosphere tbh. Although not having allocated seating is a bonus, easily get good seats.

Also got a lollipop thrown at me for cheering when Southland finally scored - apparently being a neutral supporter is frowned upon.

Good to see NH get the win over Canterbury.

    Wellington :fp:

  10. Starris ER Starris

Seems to be popular with everyone except the red and blacks.

Southland beat the Cantabs as well, apparently. Can't believe I missed it.

Sounds like Taranaki are in the box seat now.

  12. Droos JP Rhodes

Any news on SBW signing for Counties?

  13. Rego RS Hutchinson

Yeah....he did ages ago. Expected to play 2 games for them.

  14. Magrat Garlick M Garlick

Wellington improving. Only lost by 22 today

  15. Rego RS Hutchinson

I said the same thing, laughing whilst doing it.

  16. Starris ER Starris

We keep the log of wood a bit longer!!!

I believe we had it for 6-7 years back in the 60s/70s.

  17. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Maybe our nz super Xv teams should have a challenge shield

  18. Starris ER Starris

You could just have a super shield or something for home games... but why would you limit it to just the NZ teams?

Is James Low for Tasman mentally unwell? Every time I see him score a try he makes school boyish symbols with his fingers towards the cameras that a 7 year old would do. The man must be in twenties. Is he mentally challenged? Genuine question.

Good to see Tasman beat Cantabs though.

I think they interviewed him after last week's game and he seemed normal enough.

Anyway, that try for Tasman at the end of the first half was a thing of beauty. Wonderful offload by Robbie Malneek - how this guy never got a Super Rugby contract I don't know.
