That's not true. QLD have allowed two of their home games to be moved. You're right to say it's unfair though, as even though QLD were the last to move a home game to Melbourne in 2009, NSW had already done so three other times previous. After Wednesday night, 4 NSW home games will have been played in Melbourne but only 2 QLD ones.

Thankfully, it's not QLD's fault that the NSWRL agreed to such a stupid notion when they're facing a 7th straight series loss. It's about the only thing on which I agree with Ricky Stuart - QLD would never have allowed that to happen if the dire circumstances were reversed.

Thankfully most of the bars on Bourbon Street in New Orleans have the channel that they are showing the game on here so I'll get to watch it live. Can't fucking wait!

I still don't understand why Queensland get game 3 again though. Now that is bs.

Seems I had my facts a bit twisted.

Went to the last Melbourne one, Wallace was the shiz, Hodges got hurt and I think Farah was a shunt. Typical origin game.

Kurt Shitley lost the game for them at fb iirc, shithouse performance.

Nah. Fair enough if you want to say Melbourne is no home ground advantage to NSW but not having even one game is Brisbane is just absurd - It's the home of Origin and is the greatest RL stadium in Australia. Sells out in days.

    Wallace was crap.

I'd much rather game 2 at home than game 3.

That's not what I meant. Obviously they have to have one in Queensland. I am ok with the fact that we have to have it in Melbourne as it is part of the agreement and you guys did give one up to Melbourne but that doesn't mean that game 3 should be in Queensland for the second year in a row. It is our rightful turn to host game 3 yet for some reason we dont have it and that makes a huge difference on the complexion of the series.

NSW will have it at 2-0 so the 3rd game doesn't matter.

This, if game three was in Sydney I reckon you could nearly guarantee NSW have no chance of winning the series.

So you would rather NSW wait until Game 3 to get a home game? Good luck coming to Lang Park to tie the series if NSW lose Game 1 in Melbourne.

Personally, I think that if we're going to have games played in Melbourne it should always be Game 3. And the team whose year it is to host should get Game 1, for obvious reason - The team that wins Game 1 has an enormous historical advantage.

Pretty sure NSWRL decides just about everything, so everything ever can be blamed on them.

I don't see how this makes sense. We have won at suncorp once in the last 6 series. I'd much rather know that winning one of the first two games guarantees a decider at ANZ which not so long ago used to be a place where
    Queensland couldn't win at,at all.

Origin 1 is the biggest match of the year, right next to the Grand Final. Hosting it down in Mexico doesn't really make sense.

That'd be the fairest way, but it'd be heaps shit for both states to have a deciding game played in AFL territory. Shouldn't ever let that happen imo.

If it was between game 2 or 3 at home then hell yeah I would prefer game 3. I don't mind the game 1 home advantage though. Having game 3 in Melbourne probably would be the fairest due to as you said, game 1 being of huge importance.

Why not? The 06 Decider was one of the greatest Origin's ever played and Melbourne supporters did a wonderful job. It had a proper Origin feeling and there were chants going and a lot of feeling IMO.

I just think a game of that magnitude needs to be played in league heartland. It'd almost be like moving the AFL Grand Final to Sydney or Brisbane for a year just to promote the GC/GWS expansion franchises. It's blasphemy. It just doesn't feel right to me. If you guys are happy with it we're happy to take it, but it just something you guys should never let happen imo.
