    Arrow a grub? :jester:

He's always in it? That really doesn't show him out to be a grub. It 'being clear to everyone' is why you saying it is the first I've ever heard someone call him a grub.

In it as in off the ball stuff.

Maybe Qlders are just blind to it. Tbf I remember posting McGuire was a grub back in his early days and copped some flack for it too. Time will tell...

It's reckless because he was unconscious and he slammed him into the ground. By that standard, if you want to do 'extras' on the ground and the bloke you do it to happened to be knocked unconscious before you got there then yes, you should get punished for it.

I actually don't mind that he's been fined. I've never had a problem with that little bit of niggle after an error, even though it's a bit wanky. That Teddy situation gave a good look in to why its a bad idea though, say he had a neck injury etc it could've all ended in tears.

Its not reckless. At absolute worst, its careless. Reckless would be doing it knowing he was knocked out, which he clearly didnt.

Intention matters. Im happy with the fine tho id be okay with no punishment as well.

Oh shit, I meant careless. I was looking at it from other judiciary decisions and was trying to grade it using the same terms, but used the wrong one.

Should be a rule you can only go on with it after a big hit. Dude slipping over and losing the ball doesn't warrant BDE.

The whole thing is dire media noise. Gotta find something to talk about if you're a rugby league jounro in late November. Zzzz.

If he copped a suspension it would have been a joke. Fine, sure, whatever.

Collins was a tower of strength. His post contact drive is very impressive. To make the most metres of any player, coming from the bench is excellent.

Yep he was really good. Should definitely be retained next year.

I thought Collins was excellent, after saying he looked scared last week he was immense. I think it's just his body language and general awkwardness that makes him seem like he's off with the fairies.

I wonder if there'll be pressure on Fittler to be sacked. To NSW credit they were thoroughly dominated thoughout much of that match without Teddy, up there and were still very close to pulling a rabbit out of the hat.

Am I way off here or potentially on to something? I know he does a fuck load of defence in and around the middle, I just sometimes feel that all his ball playing is to the detriment of the teams structure.

Im not sure the best spot to find stats is these days, but using nrl.coms god awful site I get that he made 257 metres across 3 games from 34 runs, which isn't much, especially when to my memory a lot of his runs are on the later tackles. A typical set to my mind the typical set saw a lot of the hard early ruins done by Tupou, Cordner, Crichton, Saifiti and co.

Especially early I wonder if the team would be better with Finucane/Crichton at lock, with either Yeo or possibly Trbojevic to come off the bench and give a bit of variety around tiring forwards.

This was due to Val's dickfingers though, not anything the Blues did.

I agree with the general thrust of this. I'd pick Radley and Murray before him. Thing is Jake has a lethal combination with Tom but there's no reason why, say, Radley couldnt do the same.

Jake's running game is weak tea and that is the primary concern.

There are a lot of things i like about Grant's game; strong defence, vision, running, etc but his service was impeccable. I thought Friend was slow and wide too often. We looked much sharper with Grant at 9.

I like Friend and feel bad for him but Grant is clearly our best option at 9. Unfortunately i dont see a spot for Friend in the team, even tho ive always been a big fan of hookers in tandem.

I'm happy for Friend that he got to hang the "Queensland starting hooker" hat on his legacy hook -- he deserved it -- but yeah unless Grant ends up injured or playing reserve grade next year he should be starting, and Friend doesn't offer anything as a bench hooker in that situation.
