    Whatever you think of James Maloney, he's the best NSW Origin half since Johns imo and i think NSW are sorely going to miss him in this series. In fact i think it will be the primary deciding factor along with no Klemmer.

    This series will be huge for Coates. He's clearly been overawed in first grade so far.
    Broncos Coates wouldn't have scored that try, probably would have ran over the sideline.

    NSW really need to sharpen up their attack. Some very poor defence on that Queensland left edge has lead to some very easy points but outside of that we have looked very basic in the questions we have thrown at Queensland.

    Daniel Tupou has been an absolute beast 12 carries for 158 metres in the first half.

    I do wonder if not having 2 genuine centres is hurting the shape we are playing with on the edges. The lines a centre runs on a backline movement can be so crucial to the effectiveness of pass selection from the half. Dont think I've seen one out ball from a NSW half to their centres in the 1 and a half games so far, Wighton and Gutherson seem to want to just run into their opposition to very little effect so far.
