Graham was excellent off the bench.

Mbye is a stupid selection. Don’t even use him when chasing 20+

Picking an actual 9 and praying Arrow is fit is best plan for QLD

Yeah I'd honestly take McCullough over hunt at this point. Anything is better than a dummy-half who plays in slow-motion and is asleep on the job half the time. His defence is horrendous as well. Him getting praised after game 1 was a total piss-take by the media.

What are we thinking for NSW.

Klemmer in for Saifiti the only change? If Cleary is out, who comes in?

  5. Cribbage RG Cribb

Hopefully Klemmer comes in for Sims if he's fit. I like Sims as a player but he's a meh prop at best and he's playing prop when he comes on.

Don't tease. Let's wait for scans.

Ch9 sure are dragging out this fucking MOTM announcement.

  8. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yeah Sims’ problem is he needs more time to wind up I think.

Gotta be the worst defensive effort we’ve put in, in 15 years. Shambolic.

    Jurbo Motm.

They always do it. The one silver lining of definitely losing all my MOTM bets is that I don't have to endure this sort of torture, I put on the Cricket World Cup right after the game.

Already had this conversation with Cribb. You should only need 3 second rowers so Klemmer in for Tariq Sims.

Tell you what the difference in speed, energy and tempo in the outside backs was such a huge difference. All of the ducking brain dead cunts saying Josh Morris was unlucky just need to look at the replay and understand Trbojevic and Wighton are both just far, far, far superior players in every aspect bar experience in losing Origin games.

I was really unsure about the whole Latrell thing. But when I watched those mini vids from the article toolman posted I was fully on board. Latrell should and wil not be considered for game 3. And I honestly think a few of the players would ensure that is the case after doing video reviews. I re watched game 1 And was scathing of Walker watching him closer but you don’t want a team mate that phones it in.

I backed the Vaughan to the bench move as well. Great understanding of the game from Fittler there imo.

If Mitchell gets his head right and shows intent he walks in over Wighton who, as predicted, did absolutely nothing of note in a side that had all the running, field position and opportunities.

It's amazing how good the Trbjoevic brothers are considering their genetic physical expressions. You'd never guess it by looking at them.

It'll be interesting to see how Australia goes about Tedesco vs Ponga for fullback in the future. I suppose they'll just end up putting Tedesco on the wing.

  16. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Nah they won’t. It’ll be Tedesco because he’s the incumbent. Which is fair enough. Ponga will have to wait a few years I think. I still believe he is the more rounded player because he offers genuine ball playing from the back (ala the two tries he set up in Game 1) which would be useful now that our halves and hooker are lesser than what we had in Thurston, Cronk and Smith. But you wouldn’t be breaking up the Tedesco/Cook combination any time soon.

You could squeeze him onto the bench. It would be kind of funny to see Tedesco, Ponga and Trbojevic all on the field for Australia at the same time.

'in the future', 'end up' ... heavy implications that i didn't mean 2019

  18. Julian BJ Taylor

Nope. As I said. Won’t even be considered.

  19. Magic AJ Parker

I think Ponga showed why he's still not up there as the best fullback in the game. Just didn't sum up the wet weather footy conditions and struggled to have any input on the game. His defence needs some work too. Thought his lack of support play cost QLD a try or two in Game 1 as well. Still plenty of development to go.

And there's no way Latrell gets a look in for Game 3 after that kind of win. Regardless of how Wighton went.
