    Been a big fan of Taane Milne when he was playing junior grades at the Roosters.

    I think the Tigs have picked up a pretty classy centre, I'm expecting he will have his break out year in 2018.

    Looking forward to seeing how Ben Hunt goes at St George. He’s had a roller coaster career at Brisbane and I don’t think he ever played with the full confidence of the staff behind him such is the pressure that comes with being a high profile half at Brisbane.

    I hope he can shed the Jekyll/Hyde character of his play.

    The 2 most interesting ones for me are Matthew Lodge and Liam Knight.

    2 22 year old props who were 2 of the better prospects in that position 3/4 years ago. Both fucked their early careers over with stupid off field incidents and now have a big opportunity to make it in the NRL at their respective clubs. Brisbane and Canberra would both hoping they graduate into genuine NRL forwards this year. Lodge is the more obvious talent whereas Knight seems to be going along the old school slow burn improve as an adult prop.

    Lodge will kill it this year, best budget buy of the year for sure.

    Knight needs to pack on some kgs or he's always going to be stuck floating between 2nd row & front row but you're right might be one of those real late matures. Can't say I was overly impressed with his performances for Wyong this year tbh had high hopes for him too.

    See I'd read that. And Cribb said similar things. But once he transferred to Mounties he pretty much became the pack leader straight away and was making 150 metres plus every single match.

    Nah not really; they're way under the cap and there's fuck all left on the market. Makes sense for them to throw the kitchen sink at cunts they rate as long as they aren't on overs for more than a couple of years (ie. they should front-end the deals).

    I'm all for that. But someone like Lodge to a side like Newcastle on huge dollars could end so bad. They'd need to have so many clauses in his deal.
