    Absolutely fucking forgot about him.

    Option A

That was the most retarded thing I've ever witnessed.

There is no single position that Daley and NSW have fucked up more than the bench utility role imo.

2013 Josh Reynolds played 15 minutes in game 2 (and was useless). Didn't even play in game 1 I don't think. Was dropped for another forward in game 3.
    2014 Luke Lewis.
2015 No utility player for any of the three games.
2016 Dylan Walker 8 minutes in game 1 just enough time to make a costly error. And then Jack Bird for the next two.
2017 Jack Bird all three games.

Wtf is this shit? How many games have they lost by not having a proper impact player to inject? What exactly does Daley expect a centre to do coming off the bench to play lock?

Pearce would be a decent bench hooker if they don't pick him at 7 again. He can pass, he can tackle, he's fast, high energy, can step at speed, great support player, experienced. They'd never do it though 'because he's never played there' as if that really makes much difference.

We've got someone really well-suited to it now as well, and that hasn't always been the case. Peachey can not only play several positions to a decent to high standard, but more importantly he'd actually be really fucking good at the primary role of injecting fresh legs out of dummy half. He's a must next season IMO. Bird can start at centre ahead of Dugan.

This has been so obvious for a good 3 seasons. I actually think Fittler would do it if coach.

I reckon Cook would be a better shout as an impact hooker than Peachy.

The Peach gives better cover across more positions and can be just as effective as an impact back rower if there were to be an injury in the pigs/Peats is cruising at hooker.

He strikes me as the perfect live wire to throw in if nothings going to plan, can just create something from nothing.

Really happy with the Freddy appointment.

Just feels right for so many reasons.

Fittler is a good appointment given the options. I’m interested to see who he picks next year. He’s notorious for bizarre and ridiculous arm-chair selections like Will Hopoate would’ve been his fullback etc. I really do think a lot depends on how the ‘right players’ play next year. Daley’s selections were actually a lot better than they could otherwise have been partly because those who should’ve been picked were playing well at the time. Had they not been, I think we could’ve seen some a lot more poor picks. And I think Fittler will be the same.

I think if he's making a serious selection I'd be certain he'd have his head screwed on enough not to select the likes of Will Hopoate. Most calls from colour/expert-commentators is just noise; them trying to come up with an exclusive or left-field opinion.

I know what you mean but he’s reliably picked shockers time after time. I think a few will creep in.

Yeah agree with MF. There will be at least one Fittler special flavour of the month selection, who we'll look back on in 18 months and think "what the actual fuck happened there?"

A Dylan Walker on the bench?

As unthinkable as it might be, Walters will be in a very difficult position next year with regard to the backline. Inglis will be back at left centre. Chambers goes back to the right. Then you’ve got Boyd, Holmes and Gagai fighting it out for two wing spots. At this stage Oates doesn’t even come into calculations. Gagai was man of the series and plays right side so he has to be there. But how do you drop Holmes?

Ftr i think you have to. Boyd would be my left winger.

as if you'd pick boyd over any of them, he runs like 60 metres a game

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

You'll probably end up with at least one unavailable player out of that lot anyway.

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

He’s by far the safest and best defender though. Also has the experience and combination with Inglis. That combined with excellent finishing makes him the most rounded winger. It’s not all about running metres from dummy-half.

  19. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Not if it’s Chambers who gets injured. Do you play Boyd at centre on the right? Nah I’d be playing Morgs. So you’ve still got the dilemma.

Even just looking at Slater, Inglis and Boyd specifically, I reckon there's a fair chance of one of them being out tbh.
