2016 Grand Final Predictions

I don't really see how Melbourne are ripe for the picking. They may be the rock to the Raiders/Panthers paper, so to speak, and which I think is only half true, but their form is undeniable. They've been clinical in their last two major home games. I never felt like either Cronulla or Nth QLD would win at any stage of those respective matches.

Theyre the team to beat imo.

 

With the way that game was played last night, I can definitely see Cronulla beating Nth Qld in Sydney. In fact I think it's more likely than not.

Still think it's Melbourne's to lose though.

 

Fairly sure if you go back through the threads, I've been putting shit on Cronulla more than just about anyone. I can't however ignore the significant advantages they have in their favour. Cronulla have had a week off as opposed to the Cowboys playing in Melbourne last week followed by a 90 minute epic in Townsville. And now they fly down to Sydney. Whatever you make of Cronulla's form, the Cowboys haven't been great either. In fact I was more impressed with their performance against Melbourne, which they lost, than their performance against Brisbane which they obviously won.

The Cows struggled way more than I thought they would, even against a side that pretty much couldn't tackle.

 

Underrate Cronulla at your peril!

That being said, the current tagline going around the Shire is 'Why not us?', which sums it up imo.

It is good to see history made after such a long struggle. Mortimer in 85, the Blues in 2014 and Souths later that year. The Dragons in 2010 under the master coach. The Cowboys last year. Nothing compares to the Sharks potentially winning their first since 1967 though.

 

Yeah I'm pretty much physically incapable of supporting a side with so many NSW players, especially fuckwits like Gallen, Fifita, Ennis against a team with so many QLDers.
