I didnt approach mariner. I have literally zero to do with recruitment these days. I'd probably have left him alone if I handled recruitment - which is probably why I don't anymore. That said a lot can change in two or three years, too.
I don't get all this Rays hate. They're good blokes, would sign there purely because of Tart and Steve but at the same time don't want to push Tart or Steve out of the BS line up
I have been actively pursuing an ALC career for a while now tbh. It is nearly entirely why I took over presidency, so that I could push recruiting in such a direction as to make me redundant.
Bit tough when you lose a quality guy with no time to seek a honourable replacement. I get wanting to leave and that, but to give a club zero time to replace you is pretty rough. No clear indication that he was going. Just tough on the club to try and deal with
Any season now the Stingrays will be putting 2 teams in the BS The Fangs and The Stingrays will both be top three BS teams!
From the movements so far it looks like the Stars and Rays will become contenders, the Saders will drop back to mid-table and the Pumas will probably only be second favourites if the Vipers don't lose any more players. I think a premiership betting market would probably place the teams in this order at the moment: Vipers Pumas Stingrays Allstars Ravens Crusaders Gamblers Sticky Wickets Cyclones A lot more shenanigans to go though I'm sure.
He was considering it I think. Lots of rumours that he was going to deliberately sign with whichever team Frizzed did. Which also makes me wonder whether Frizzed will stay.
Was a bigger loss at the time to the Stickies for sure. Not because you were a better player or anything, but because they had fuck all depth and you were helping run the joint. Chewie is awesome so it'll set them back, but the Pumas have a stack of BS players in ALC; they're not Chewie but it's not a massive irreplaceable hole.
