    but seriously, id have gone for a young up and coming cb (baring in mind it is going to be a rotation role, not gonna be first choice) Pearce from Reading or if you wanted expieriance,. jagielka for maybe 10 mil? the money saved on Toures wages could offset a bit of that fee. Ciaran Clark from Villa? there is a whole host of options better than Toure in my opinion

    We really needed someone to play the Carragher role. Even though he's a worse defender than Skrtel, the difference he made when he came in was massive, mainly due to his experience. We're still looking for another CB that'll be quite a lot younger, but we really needed someone like Toure to come in, and he's pretty much the best we could get there IMO.
