Haha, I am in Dubai for the summer. Bit jet lagged so might struggle for some sleep in early days but we'll see it how it goes.

Saying "for the summer" above just reminded me of the song I'll link you to haha.

You might even know that since Indie isn't unfamiliar terrain.

Can see why you like it. Very mood dependent for mine tbh. Still a lot better than the mainstream hip hop I hear on the radio occasionally.

      Hey bro,
Thinks aren't too bad cheers. Had a hectic week last week and now it's nose-in-textbooks time with exams around the corner.
      How're things with you?

I don't really know how to use Skype to the fullest and I don't know what Screen Share is.

I'm pretty snowed under at the moment, otherwise you could just send me through an egg-sample of your data and I could build the spreadsheet for you.

But yeah, you have all your raw data in one sheet and run the pivot table across the whole thing, basically.

      Try it using my data.

Add a column in between A and B in 'Player Stats - SRC' and call it 'Round' then fill in some round numbers at random. Give column A a heading - 'Name' (pivot table columns must have headings)

Highlight the table and go to 'Insert' then 'Pivot Table'. When highlighting the table, highlight ALL of the columns rather than just the table itself. This means that as you add data to the table, the pivot table will automatically update to include the new data.

      On the wizard, press 'OK'

Then you have to build the pivot table.

You have the field lists on the RHS of the page.

Drag 'Round' into the box marked 'Report Filter'

      Then 'Name' into Row Labels

Then all the individual statistics into 'Values'

It will default each statistic to count, but you want sum.

Double click on each item in values, select 'Value Field Settings' and change to sum.

Then you're done. Your pivot table is built and you can flick between Round Data using the filter at the top.

      Yeah, then you just do a SUMIF(sheet 1 etc.)+SUMIF(sheet 2 etc.)

Or alternatively, keep all the data in sheet1 and add a column for 'Round Number' and then you can run pivot tables over the top of it to display each round separately at the click of a filter - kind of how I've done the tab "By Team" and you can click the filter in cell B1 to display which team's data you want to see.

      Sent. Should be fairly obvious.

The key really is to make sure the data held in 'Sheet1' is absolutely consistent, otherwise the summary formulas won't work.

Easy, easy. I do exactly this for RUSim stats collation.

You put all of your raw stats into sheet 1 listed with player name in column A.

Then, in sheet 2 you use a =SUMIF formula.

Column A in sheet 2 also features player names. So, the formula you need should be:

      SUMIF(Sheet1!$A:$A,Sheet2!$Ax,Sheet1!B:B)

Where B:B is the column containing the statistical data

This should sum up all numbers in column B (sheet1) where the player name in column A(sheet1) = the player name in column A (sheet2)

You can then fill this formula down for all players in sheet2 and across for all the different stats you're reporting.

Consistency of format (both of player name and data) and data in sheet1 is critical.

Is there a 'deadline' for you though? As something I'd totally forgotten about has come up so I might be a little busy for tonight at least? If it's not something that is urgent urgent you could PM me and I could respond some time tomorrow?
