He's a really good prop, but in the last 2 months he has been rubbish compared to what he has offered. He shouldn't be starting, unfortunately QLD have fuck all options unless we look at plebs like Wallace and Napa again.

Yeah true, something obviously needs to change though. On reflection, while we haven't been scoring points, our spine players aren't exactly our biggest problem. I'd point the finger at our defence, especially on the edges. Poor communication, guys falling off tackles, not sliding out correctly and a lack of support to the guys around them. The blues were able to run where they pleased and dragged our guys all over the place. I still recall a point where Welch and Papalii were making a tackle on the sideline at one point, early in the set, then ran back to the middle. And the amount of tries scored in this series on the back of overlaps is very disappointing. It's like watching a Broncos game. Where there is some kind of disconnect from our middle to the edge. Then their amount of offloads getting away early in the game was telling. It just means our forwards are having to do 2-3 times as many tackles as they otherwise would need to if they simply wrapped the ball up better.

I think Arrow to the edge was a poor call. He's almost always been a mid forward, he didn't look comfortable out there. Then there is Capewell. He did well in the Centres last year, but he's up against Turbo this year and has looked second rate. I'd still pick him in the side, just not in the centres. Gagai was Latrell's bitch, I'd consider switching him to the other side where he plays club footy and pick a specialist centre on the right.

If we fix our defence up, the points should come. It's what won those 2 games last year.

I'd mainly blame Holmes for the bad attack tbh.

Massively this, everyone seems to be missing how much of a difference Ponga would make at the back there.

DCE and Munster ared definitely not used to playing without a fullback they can rely on as a ballplayer either.

Slow service and no threat from the back. A lack of meaningful links between your half and outside backs is always going to be hard to deal with.

No chance, poor kid can barely kick the ball 30metres at the moment. Let him grow into his body and develop. He's still finding his feet in first grade.

There's nothing wrong with DCE and Munster, they were good enough to win the series last year. I've been bagging DCE for years because I think he's overrated but I still think he's the best halfback available for QLD.

Qlds biggest issue at the moment in my opinion is the Broncos and that will only be exacerbated if Bellamy retires at the end of the season.

Who would everyone have at 6 & 7 for NSW? With Luai and Cleary out, I think I'm hoping we see Reynolds and Walker, though Moses & Walker would probably do.

Oddly enough if it was just Cleary out, I'd have probably wanted to see Moses, given he's probably next in line long term, giving him a game to see what its all about in a dead rubber struck me as a good idea.

With both halves out though I think I'd go Walker and Reynolds, if the series was on the line they are probably the two you'd look at bringing in. If for some reason Cleary & Luai were unavailable for game 1 next year Reynolds and Walker are probably the next in line for 2022 (even with Reynolds going to the Broncos).

One thing I almost certainly wouldn't entertain is Wighton at 6.

I think Moses will probably get the gig, Pearce an outside chance.

Just don't think Reynolds is at all what Freddy is looking for in terms of style of player.

    Walker a shoe-in for 5/8.

I've heard a few people say Pearce, I've got no idea why he'd be anywhere near the picture.

I'd honestly pick Brooks ahead of him.

I think Brandy has already come out and said Wighton will be the 6. Just wild to me as he is bog average.

It was amazing how many often the top comment on social media once Cleary was ruled out was 'Easy, Luai goes to 7, Wighton 6'. Would've been dreadful.

Although hopefully if Wighton gets the nod at 6 they'll stick SuperPeach on the bench.

I'd bring Freddy out of retirement before I would play Brooks. I say Pearce because he's been there before under Freddy.

I just don't see Reynolds being the style of player that Freddy is going to want to go with.

Could just end up going with his Lebanese halves pairing Doueihi/Moses.

Jai Arrow gone for bringing a "dancer" into Origin Camp. What an absolute spastic...

To be fair its slim pickings in Redfern.

Clean sweep all on Qld soil on offering tonight.

Would be an epic record to hold and one you think could never be replicated.

Gagai has lost his Moroon mojo.

NSW been really strong in defence, pretty sure that was 8 or 9 sets back to back on their own line just before half time.

Just lacking in attack, Wighton pretty much just playing the role of a ball playing second rower + a few dud kicks and Moses has really struggled to get involved.

If Sutton sends someone off for a ruck infringement cunt should never officiate another SOO game again. We haven’t seen a sin bin for repeated ruck infringements at club level all year, seems to be on his own personal crusade to do so tonight. The rucks are fine mate, let them play.
