That's a rough sin bin. Looked pretty accidental for mine.

Well that opens up a can of worms for the season. 100% calling for every player to stay down after a high shot from now on. Maloney has thrown two already, definitely staying down if I'm an Eels player the next time it happens.

lol how is that not a try to Moeroa?

I have Fox but I prefer 9’s coverage.

  5. Lukic L Popovic

Fuck the Panthers. Absolute fuckin scumbag club. Move them to Perth.

I love how they're paying for us to have a better coach than them.

  6. AVA T Delonge

Because of the fucked rule where you have to completely regather the ball to ground it.

  7. AVA T Delonge

Anyway, fuck Penrith. Up the Eels!

  8. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Even by that I think he did enough. All academic now anyways.

  9. Tartmaster AJ James

Especially considering Trbojovic scores with his leg yesterday.

Jeez Gordon is a shit fullback

  11. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

What a snoozefest of a game.

  12. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Worst game of the round imo

Weather hasn't helped in fairness. Thought Wests/Manly wasn't great, especially in the first half.

  14. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh I'm sure the NRL will own up to that one being a mistake. There'd be 3 or 4 sin bins a week if a stiff arm on a falling defender is now a worthy offence.

What was concerning was Ashley Klein's wording though, I'd have to go back and watch it but something along the lines of "because Yeo is going off you can go and sit in the bin too". You're playing with fire when you're trying to ref with justice of outcome in mind.

Apparently they are going to start enforcing the sin bin rules that were supposedly in place last season, where foul play that leads to a report and prevents the player from taking part in the rest of the game is now a sin bin:

    NRL RULES AND INTERPRETATIONS 2018

The six main reasons for a player to be temporarily suspended for ten minutes are:

    1. Repeated infringements
    2. Professional Foul
    3. Cooling off period for a player
    4. Dissent
    5. Striking
    6. Foul Play*
    • Foul Play – A player will be sin binned for foul play in circumstances where, in the opinion of the Referee, the foul play does not warrant sending off, but is serious enough to place the player on report, and the player injured from the foul play is unlikely to take any further part in the game.
Now what that means for a player who gets hit high, goes off for a HIA and is found to be unable to return 10 minutes later, who knows. Do you retroactively sin bin the bloke as soon as the other player fails their HIA?

  16. Paddy P Orr

Never are the precedents thought of when they make these silly calls.

  17. Tartmaster AJ James

Unless they just class anyone going for a HIA as 'unlikely' to return.

  18. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

Even as a Panthers fan, seeing this happen to Emperor Gould would put a smile on my face.

Latrell Mitchell hit Sam Burgess high, penalty

  20. Magic AJ Parker

lol accidentally hit post reply, fucking no edit shit.

Latrell Mitchell hit Sam Burgess high, penalised but Sam stayed on the field for a few minutes before he was pulled off for a HIA.

Do they then stop the game and go sin bin Latrell?

Do teams start taking more players off for HIA tests to encourage a sin bin?
