They probably only need to beat one of them. Wales were go into both games as underdogs but if they can pull off an upset they should be through. The concern for them is if they go all out against England/Australia and then get turned over be Fiji.

Anscombe or Hook mentioned as replacements for the 15 Jersey. Anscombe is the guy you take if you want someone with a big upside, But Hook will be mr consistency.

Would roll the dice with Anscombe and be done with it. Just pray that he doesn't get stage fright.

I would take Anscombe too. I don't see much of him but Hook hasn't been very good for a few years now.

He is very ordinary, but he won't turn to custard in front of 50 000 fans. Anscombe might as he is unproven. Biggest crowd Gareth has been in front of is Super XV crowds of probably 25K

  5. Howe JHF Howe

They will go with Liam Williams at fullback along with North & Cuthbert on the wings.

Anscombe has been playing at park level for Cardiff and I'm surprised he made the squad

You have to play Williams there imo. You could argue they looked a better side at the end of the 6N when Halfpenny was injured so I feel Webb is a bigger loss. Halfpenny's kicking will be the biggest part of his game they'll miss.

    Anscombe's a doubt anyway

  7. Fiery GR Smith

Anscombe playing for Wales is yet another example of the farcical qualification rules.

    (He's rubbish too btw.)

Biggar's a perfectly fine goal kicker tbf, just doesn't have Halfpenny's range

Yeah but being able to slot penalties from anywhere in the opposition half puts alot of pressure on the opposition. The psychological impact of Halfpennys kicking is pretty big imo. No matter whos at 10 not having him removes that effect

Favourites for the WC according to them

Wales end up calling up Eli Walker and bringing back Mike Phillips.

Bet that was a fun phone call.

Not gonna lie. No nothing about Eli Walker

    Paddy Power are offering this:

Place a GBP/EUR25 bet on any player in the Rugby World Cup Top Tryscorer market and get a GBP/EUR5 free bet every time he scores a try during the tournament.

Not bad tbh, all you need is for your selected player to score at least 5 tries to get your money back in the form of free bets, everything above that is a bonus whilst still potentially selecting the highest tryscorer and earning a decent amount from that too.

Poor Mike Brown. No friends to go to the cinema with.

    Especially now, without Halfpenny.
